  1. Mizzou vs. Fordham tonight. Winner advances to the next round of the CBE Classic in Kansas City to face the winner of the East Lansing bracket.
  2. I voted Chase Daniel because I'm a homer. I really think Dixon will win it though. Chase will hopefully get an invite though. He needs 694 yards in the last two games to get to 4000 yards on the season (average of 347 in each of the last two games. He averages 331 per game through the first 10). He's also at 26 passing TDs, so he'll obviously get to 30. He's also got 248 yards rushing and 3 TDs.
  3. I'd gladly take Cordero, but I fear signing another reliever to a huge contract.
  4. Mizzou barely up on Central Michigan 43-38 at the end of the first half in their regular season opener. CMU scored 5 points in the last 17 seconds to cut the lead in half. DeMarre Carroll is a stud, however, with 17 points and 8 boards in the first half.
  5. this organization's infatuation with marginal middle infielders blows my mind. i didn't read the whole thread, but did they take all of JJ's contract? If we don't sign Fukudome, our OF is going to somehow be worse than it was this year.
  6. Mizzou opens tomorrow night. They have the talent to make the NCAA Tourney, but I think the NIT is more realistic. If they don't make the NIT, the program should be disbanded I think.
  7. Mizzou should handle KSU, but they better not overlook them because we usually play terrible in Manhattan.
  8. God, is it November 24th yet? I'm so ready for Mizzou-KU at Arrowhead.
  9. Mizzou people: My buddy just went and picked up a ticket for the A&M game for his dad and one of the box office representatives said it's looking like it's going to be a sellout. Good news.
  10. I'd just like to point out that I've always been a Jacque fan. Whether that makes me look good or look stupid is up for debate though.
  11. So, when you make premium, you won't take anything currently here away from regular members? That's the plan. Well this will certainly delay my signing up for premium  Again, you're missing the actual point of signing up for Premium, which is supporting the site, not features. Note the  , and besides what does anyone care Why I sign up for premium. But seriously the  was there for a reason. Your humor and ability to use sarcasm is just too much for our tiny little brains to handle.
  12. That tennis court is definitely real. Didn't two pros play a match there recently? Dubai looks like an amazing place. I'd love to visit there someday.
  13. Don't say things like that, we play them in basketball in a week. We'll lose 2-0.
  14. Oh yeah, here's this Mizzou gem: In 1941, Missouri played Fordham in the Sugar Bowl. Mizzou lost 2-0. Who the hell is Fordham?
  15. Ooh, that's fancy. I like that too.
  16. Hahah. What a way for that type of game to end. Great story. That's pretty awesome. Anyways, you hear they're now expecting about 65,000 for Saturday's game? Man I wish there was a huge walk up crowd and we could get close to 70,000. Not gonna happen, but I'd imagine that next year we should have huge crowds each week, especially if we finish strong. It would be really nice to pack the place. Unfortunately I think the early start will keep a lot of people away. Hopefully everyone remember to wear black.
  17. Hahah. What a way for that type of game to end. Great story.
  18. Based on how Wood performed at the end of the season, I'm fully for Wood being the closer. As for Prior, if he doesn't give us an option then I have no problem watching him walk away.
  19. Oh man. Eckstein to the White Sox. How scrappy can one team get?
  20. I would do that in a heart beat. What is the deal with all of you jumping at the chance to give away Hill, Marmol, and Gallagher? Why in the hell would you give away our best young pitching? [-X It has something to do with the fact that the D-Rays would never do the trade that you'd do in a heartbeat. In baseball, one man's trash is rarely another man's treasure. Exception: See: Hendry, Jim -> Perez, Neifi
  21. I was wondering how long it'd take you to show up! :D BTW, the Illinois-Indiana banter is already annoying. I'll have pissing match with you, shake things up if you like. Well who am I supposed to fight with then? Someone on your level. Any Missouri State fans here? Aw :(

  23. We'd still be one power bat away from having a good offense, while at the same time paying an extra 10 million for a pitcher who would probably put up the same stats as Hill. Well, as Hoops suggested, maybe it's possible to get him without giving up Hill, but we're going to remain one power bat away from having a good offense as long as the organization keeps this infatuation with Ryan Theriot. If we get someone with power for the outfield, Theriot doesn't become as much of a problem. It's almost impossible to find a SS with legitimate power, not so for outfielders. Perhaps we should go after Drew then. He'd undoubtedly be cheaper, and he can hit the long ball.
