So since my baseball knowledge is lacking in the Japanese market-area, what kind of player are we looking at with Fukudome? Power? Speed? Good arm?

Boo-hoo. We're 7-0. You're not. Advantage Jayhawks. And you've played crap teams, that's why you're 7-0. Come on, you know that kU isn't near as good as their ranking indicates they are. This week should be a good sign of how good they actually are. I don't think A&M is all that great, but winning at Kyle Field is never an easy task. If KU goes in and gets killed, it would show they are overrated. If they lose a close one, it'll show they are a respectable team. If they blow A&M out, then I get a little more nervous for the game in Kansas City.

Oklahoma State hits a FG with 2 seconds left and goes on to beat Kansas State, making the Big 12 North an apparent two team race between KU and Mizzou. Standings 1. KU (3-0) 2. Mizzou (2-1) 3./4. Kansas State/Colorado (2-2) 5. Nebraska (1-3) 6. Iowa State (0-4) Next week KU is @ A&M Mizzou is home vs. ISU Kansas State hosts Baylor Colorado is at Texas Tech Hopefully A&M can pull out a big win at home and Mizzou can move into a tie for first.

KU is up 19-7 with 9:38 left over Colorado...I still don't know who I would prefer to win this one. EDIT: KU winning would give CU two Big 12 losses, and KState has a chance to lose to Ok. State (KSU up 21-14 in the 2nd), which would give them two losses. Nebraska now has 3 conference losses, and Iowa State is Iowa State, so it'd pretty much be a two team race for the North. I guess I'll root for KU. *shudders*

Very impressive defensive performance today by Mizzou. I was very nervous going into this one, but they came up big.

Michigan's won five straight and Illinois just lost to a team that had no Big Ten wins in a year. And Michigan lost to a D2 school and their resume is nowhere close to being as good as Ilinois DI-AA NCAA Football Championship Subdivision ;)

Except Harang is nowhere near as much of a girl as Prior, and has already had seasons of throwing tons of pitches on his arm. Besides that, it will be the same. You seem like a good guy, so I feel bad for you. You're the only one though. I believe that every team should have the displeasure of having Dusty Baker as their manager. -
Miscommunication. Maclin thought it was a play fake, he ran several steps before he realized something went wrong. That makes it even worse, because if Maclin knows it's a handoff he A) Hangs on to the ball or B) Falls on it if it comes out. But yeah, frustrating all around. That Brown interception(the ensuing score put them up 5, btw) would've changed the game. Pig did not play well tonight. The entire secondary looked truly awful. Whatever though, just gotta stay focused and bounce back next week. We have a very realistic chance of this being our only loss and winning the North, just gotta regroup.

You guys vs. Tech next week could be a fun game. I suppose you slavers losing consecutive games might be to much to ask. Honestly if we bounce back we should run the table until the KU game, but after what we did last year after the OU loss I won't be surprised if we go 7-5 again.

God I hate sports. I come out of that game not feeling that OU is necessarily that much better than us, but that we shot ourselves in the foot multiple times: -3rd and 2, Maclin lines up at QB, throws a pick. WHY PINKEL?! It's 3rd and 2 in a tight game and you take one of the top QBs in the nation out. Stupid. That's a play you save for later in the game or when you are up, not when you are in the midst of driving. -Pig Brown dropped INT. IMO this is the turning point in the game. They went on to score to go up (I don't remember if it was to go up 5 or 11, but whatever). You pick that off, its a touchback, boom, but instead they score and... -We botch the handoff. I have no words to describe that play. How can you screw up a handoff like that. Gah. :(

If we get stomped today (I don't think we will), with Nebraska getting destroyed and Illinois losing, it's not going to reflect well on us.
