    Worth very little until all the games are "connected", meaning that every team can be linked to every other team through games. Until then the predictive values are partially based on last year's information. Of course, considering that, I'm surprised Illinois is as high as it is. That rating looks like a basketball poll with Missouri, Illinois, Kansas, Kentucky, Cincinnati, etc. Except Illinois wont sniff the basketball poll this year or anytime soon if Weber doesnt change something. And Missouri hasn't sniffed a basketball poll since Quin first started sniffing cocaine.

    The MU-OU game is on FSN at 5:30 pm CT. It was originally supposed to be a 2:30 start on ABC, but it got bumped for some reason. I think we can beat OU. It's going to be definitely tough, and I'm not completely expecting a victory, but I think we have the talent to pull it out. As long as we don't get blown out we should be ok in the polls.

    Would be nice for Illinois' SOS if Mizzou keeps on rolling. And did anyone hear what Gary Danielson said considering Jacob Hester? Would be nice for Mizzou's SOS if Illinois keeps on rolling. ;) What an amazing win tonight. 70,041 fans, most since 1984 vs. Notre Dame. Gold Rush was the best I've ever seen it. Fans were loud and crazy. Unbelievable. I wish I could've been in the stands instead of the Press Box. Hopefully we can come out and play the same way @ OU next week. I think we have a legitimate shot at beating them and moving into the top 10, while taking complete control of the North.

    I really think this team is pretty good. Some questionable coaching calls made this game closer than it should have. I am worried about the pass D. Chase Daniel is gonna light us up. They are a solid team. If it was in Lawrence I'd be pretty worried, but like you said, unless your pass defense greatly improves by the last game of the year (which is very possible, lots of football left), our offense shouldnt have much of a problem. It's possible it'll get better. Today was Harper's 1st game, and I think he'll be good. We need better pressure from the ends. I think we'll be able to score on you. You should. Our defense isn't bad, it's gotten pretty good at the "bend don't break," as in give up tons of yards but not a lot of points, but I'm not sure how well that'll work in conference play. We've got a lot of talent on defense though, so it'd be nice if they could get their act together because I think it could be a very good defense.

    You don't bad mouth a two-way superstar like Kenny Weikel without paying the piper, brah. Kenny heard what he said and went straight to the coach and was like "Hey coach, did you hear what this kid said about me? You gonna do something about it? I'm Kenny m-soapdropping Weikel and you'd better do something or I'm going to the boosters to get your ass fired." Coach was all like "Calm down, Kenny. You know you're my guy. Consider MurtonFan's ass, grass." That's how I heard it went down anyway. :lol: Great story.What really happened is that I didn't like the way the coaches coached. I didn't like how they acted like football was more important than grades or school. What good athlete makes grades. Everyone knows athletes are given grades. Seriously. I was a 3.5 student in high school, when I PLAYED FOOTBALL. Now at college, where I don't play sports, I'm merely a C/B- student. College isn't hard or anything, and I didn't get dumber, so obviously it was the grades that were GIVEN to me.

    Zambrano was on auto-pilot, there was no reason to pull him. You don't pull a starter that YOU KNOW is dominant AT THAT TIME, even if it's for your best reliever. You don't know whether Marmol has his stuff or not that night, but you KNOW Zambrano does. Ok, I understand what you're saying and we can debate that. But to say that Lou was trying to lose or concede the game, that's just plain assinine. Lou was absolutely playing for Game 4 by taking him out at 85 pitches. How about we try to win one first?

    If this was a 7 game series I wouldn't have been against pulling Z then at all, because there's a guaranteed game four. I'm not a big fan of the move because it seemed like Lou was seceding the game. Not that the offense had been doing anything, but still, Z was lights out tonight. Whatever, if we win 1 or 2 of the next 2 and Z pitches a gem in Game 4 it'll look like a great move.

    I only have 1 class tomorrow that I'm not going to because I'm going to be leaving at that time for the Smashing Pumpkins concert, so I'm gonna try and get these. Hopefully this time I can go to the game instead of selling them (although I'm not complaining about the money I got for my NLDS tickets)
