  1. The Eyre signing doesnt bother me as much as the Neifi and Rusch signs. I liked the Howry signing. Relievers that by rights should have an ERA around 3.50 based on their peripherals are very handy (and both Howry and Eyre are around that mark). But $4m each a year really is a steep price to pay for that. Honestly, at this point with Ryan getting over $9 mill and with Farnsworth getting over $6 mill, do the Eyre and Howry signings look that bad? I understand Ryan is better, but I dont think he is over twice the reliever Howry or Eyre are, and I think they are both better than Farnsworth.
  2. Lovie Smith isn't the kind of coach to let this team just look past the Packers. The fans are gonna be crazy, the team is gonna be pumped, and the Packers do not stand a chance. Favre has been trying to force a lot of passes in this year and against this defense, he will throw 3 picks if the does that. That is, of course, if he's even still standing by the 3rd quarter. I am not even close to being worried about this game. Bears 17 Packers 0
  3. Orel is a shome? No but Orel moved up to the Rangers front office about 2 weeks ago instead of taking the LA job. Everyone they've talked to since is a shmoe.
  4. This news will probably make my dad a bit happier instead of all the other shmoe's they've been talking to.
  5. The thing is, Orton hasn't helped us win at all. If you put a dummy back there that just handed the ball off every and threw an interception a game, you wouldn't have much of a difference. If you take out that screen pass to Thomas Jones, Orton threw for 93 yards or 3.4 per pass attempt. That's just horrible. I understand, but he's also not losing games for us. Grossman hasn't taken a snap in such a long time, I don't feel that throwing him in there in the midst of a playoff run would help the team. I'm all for a quarterback controversy in TC next season, but until Orton starts losing games for us, I don't feel the need to call for his head just yet.
  6. I just don't see the point of switching QBs when your starter has helped win 8 games, including 7 straight. Maybe it's because I've been anti-Grossman since the day he was drafted. I always thought Grossman would be a bust, and up until this point, due to injuries, I'd say I've been right. The guy up there is right. Grossman can't make us win more, and infact, all he can do at this point is bring this team down. Until Orton has another 3+ INT game, or completely costs us a game with off the mark passes, I don't see any need for a quarterback controversy. Also, for the record, I'm not pro-Orton in any way, I'm just pro-winning. I'd be saying the same thing if we were performing like this with anyone under center.
  7. I get that game, but I didn't get the Bears, I'd gladly trade, haha. And in fact, Rams-Texans is in OT now, so I still don't get to watch a game I wanna watch.
  8. Bah, 3 and out... I'd feel a whole lot better if we could get a defensive TD...I'm not too confident that our offense will score again.
  9. I believe Ogunleye is under contract until then too? If so, that's awesome to have those two set in stone until 09.
  10. The Cubs actually can't put names on their jerseys even if they wanted because they have to pay Eyre and Howry.
  11. Me too, I'm so excited! My Thanksgiving Break is over so I'm back at Mizzou, so what do I get to watch? St. Louis Rams (4-6) vs. Houston Texans (1-9) :x
  12. A few people I've talked to feel the Bears are going to suffer a letdown in Tampa Bay. I think that the Bears front 4 get to Simms early and often. Bears 17 Tampa Bay 6
  13. What a great group of plays the A&M coaches called that last drive.
  14. That's an awfully detailed post if it's a rumor. The guy said he read it on another post from a Miami paper, I'm trying to find it now. It's Bogus.http://www.forums.mlb.com/n/mb/message.asp?webtag=ml-marlins&msg=11015.1&ctx=0 ah, sorry guys.

  16. I was reading something on FanHome, and this is what this one guy posted: there was no link in the thread, but here is a link to the actual thread http://mb7.scout.com/fbaseballfrm2.showMessage?topicID=4326.topic
  17. Seems like everyone gets it but the Cubs organization itself. Awesome..
  18. Tillman gets burned on a SCREEN.
  19. Come on Bears, no stupid penalties. Don't let em back in the game.
  20. Great great great defense again.
  21. Why move anybody? They have them all signed for at least couple more years. As we have seen this year, it never hurts to have good depth at running back. Oh I agree completely, but I could see the egos start acting up. Peterson has had solid preseasons for the past few years and every year he ends up 3rd on the depth chart. He can obviously be a #1 RB somewhere and I believe it's only a matter of time until he wants to be moved so he can get a chance.
  22. Peterson is so good. Bears are gonna have a tough decision on who to move at RB in the offseason if they choose to move someone.
