The offensive line can't handle the blitz. A QB can't do much when that happens. The least he could do is stop throwing the ball up for grabs. I envy you and your optimism. All I can think about is Jacque Jones and Neifi Perez starting almost every day. -
Didn't he already pass that point in his career in his last season here in Chicago ? He should have stopped right after we lost against the Marlins - he had some huge homers and good games. But I guess this really shows he was only playing for himself afterall..... Come on, after the shots he was hitting in the 03 playoffs, you didn't honestly think he was going to decline as much as he did in 04.

Being resigned to the fact that we are going to trade or platoon Walker does not change his past production and value as a player. Maybe his value to us is less, in which case it makes more sense "logically"(and it is a maniacally warped logic at this point) to deal him. I'm not disagreeing with you in that sense. But I think if we could get Lugo for him (straight up), I think we'd be lucky. Hendry obviously picked up Walker's option just to trade him, and Hendry obviously overestimated Walker's value. Now that it has been made public that our starting second baseman will probably be Neifi Perez, I don't expect Hendry to be able to get much for him. I'll take a MI of Lugo and Cedeno if Hendry is that set on dealing Walker.

I don't think they should do it, but you guys are comparing stats like Walker is going to be around or be playing 140+ games for us this season.

When you name your arena after a snotty rich chick who cheated in college, that's the name you get forever. We can reassign it, our students voted in the newspaper to make the new classroom building the Paige Laurie Morals & Ethics Center. Did we really? I didn't see that. Dammit. Not really, but I think in the poll it narrowly beat out some option involving the Hulk or something. Hahahah. And I just realized the irony of the name up there, as I quickly skimmed over it before. Went way over my head, hahaha.

Until you make your way into the ZOU. :-D How does Colorado look? They come to Columbia Saturday, and I haven't seen them play at all this year. I didn't see any of the game. Theyy only have three losses, but they haven't played anyone. Roby is a very good player, and they're experienced, but if you can beat OU in Norman, you should beat CU in CoMo. And if I were a betting man, I'd predict a loss for KU at Mizzou, too. We haven't faced a true hostile environment yet, and Lord knows the Paige will be a madhouse. Mizzou Arena, not Paige. ;-) But I can't wait, it's gonna be a battle, that's for sure. I think I asked you this before but I don't remember, you making your way out to Columbia, snood? WOOT! Great effort to get a huge road win. I just don't understand Mizzou. How can a team look so bad and then go into norman and win? Because they are a typical Mizzou team. This year's team has a lot of heart though, and since Linas left, they have become more of a TEAM than just a bunch of players. I look forward to the rest of the Big 12 season, I think they can make a big splash.
