Nor would I. CarGo is question mark. Can he sustain performance away from Coors? Can he stay on the field? I really wouldn't give up much for him. The three parks CarGo has played in most often apart from Coors (about a third as many games, collectively) are Oakland, Petco and A T & T. Those are awful places to hit. He's a lefty bat with a decent glove, runs the bases well and isn't overpriced contractually. Obviously it depends on the cost in talent - and just as obviously it would be way less than Stanton - but I think you're selling him short. If he shows he's healthy by the end of the year, I'd very seriously kick the tires. I'm quite aware of that, but we're not taliking about a marginal split difference. Aside from last year, his home/away splits have been very skewed, anywhere form .200-.300 points. The other NL west parks aside from Chase are pitchers parks, but that isn't enough to excuse those splits. Factor in his injury issues - which at this point look chronic - and his age, and you have to be very conservative in what you give up for him, imo. And given how much Rockies ownership and management have said they love he and Tulo, and I'm not sure there's a deal to be made. If they want to give him up for a couple prospects in the 8-15 range, and maybe one of our relievers, and I'm potentially interested. Go above that, and I'm squarely out.
