Just like how green font is for sarcasm, there should be a "Meph font". The obvious joke here is that any pitch 2 feet out of the zone is going to be nigh unhittable. When Cotts is on, he's great. But the problem is you have no idea what's coming into the game when Neal does. More often than not, it's what we just saw. Isn't everyone great when they're on? Let's phrase it differently, Cotts is great when he is around the zone.

He had his moments, too. IMO, the biggest problem the Cubs have had in the pen over the last couple years is lack of consistency (outside of Marmol).

The pen looked freaking awful at this point last year as well. Something has to be done about Cotts, though. He's just too erratic. I mean seriously, who doesn't feel like Cotts is going to walk people every time he comes in?
