    If we can't win with what Rich gave us tonight, then there's nothing else that can be said. The loss is deserved, and it's on the offense.

    kind of like when we could've been out of first place by the weekend before the all-star break but instead were 5.5 up on St. Louis and 6 up on the Crew. Doesn't feel the same though. We were hitting then. We can't buy a hit now. Yeah yeah hard liners right at them. If they ain't fallin', you ain't hittin'.

    I've seen teams hit hellish bad streaks where the ball just doesn't drop. Could be happening right now. If it causes a big losing stretch, what's the difference? It still ends badly for us either way.

    Yes, it's great to have Rich Harden pitching well. But it's even more frustrating in a way when you can't back it up with any offense at all and you wind up pushing him too hard to keep the other team from scoring *anything*

    Fred, post some stat that says we'll get to Johnson's over-the-hill stuff the 2nd time through.

    watch him throw a perfect game. His FB that inning looked 89, and then his off speed pitch was 85. That's barely any speed difference and we're acting like he's as dominant as he was 10 years ago.

    This better not be another one of those "put a charge into every ball and wind up with 1 or 2 runs" kind of games. I'm not in the mood for that kind of frustration tonight.
