  1. We really have dropped 10 straight to these clowns haven't we. Redonkulous.
  2. Apparently, this http://tbn0.google.com/images?q=tbn:mhq2NDh9OyQudM:http://www.cashelane.com/stud/cobs01.jpg is an actual Cob. Don't be a Cob, Cubs.
  3. Cubs: http://www.bannerblog.com.au/news/picts/puppies.jpg Their lives depend on you winning tonight.
  4. It's Beekman today right? I think a few bobbles can be forgiven as they get more used to his way of snapping the ball. They were expecting Olin. Didn't someone run stats last year that showed the Bears aren't really fumbling the snap all that much more than other teams? I thought I saw that, but I could be wrong.
  5. That should be fun. Great, another ND for Harden coming right up 2 starts all year usually means we get bamboozled. It's like our team has never heard of game film or advance scouting before.
  6. Someone check my computer, something's obviously wrong. It just said Williams is already hurt. But I know that can't be true.
  7. So all we need to do here is figure out a way to make Cuban the last man standing, then MLB has no choice right? Cool!
  8. So can someone explain this to me from a more expert perspective? It's a blister. Pop it, soak it in some bacitin or something like that. Bandage it. A couple days later problem solved. Why will this not work? We've all had hundreds of blisters. What makes this one incurable?
  9. On that I agree. The Bears have been resiging these guys as much as can be expected. They finished 7-9 and yet the Bears are doling out new contracts as if they made a return trip to the Super Bowl. Nobody can claim the Bears aren't paying their guys.
  10. How about because he's going to turn 35 in a few days?
  11. Yea, he's doing it because he knows he's the only deep threat on the team. That gives him leverage. Bears need to make this go away quickly. The larger problem I see with Hester holding out is that he, of all players, needs to be in camp learning.
  12. Sori doubles. Good to see his first game back.
  13. SLAM!!!1 http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/3/31/Dancing_Banana.gif
  14. My TV is broken also. I thought I just saw a base hit with RISP, and a Fuku walk. Now it's saying we have bases loaded and only 1 out.
  15. Yeah, well, after living through the '84 debacle trust me I would rather have won. Yea, I'm glad I wasn't around for that...but our generation of fans definitely got our own version of that in '03. I can honestly say I didn't need to find out what it felt like. The subsequent disastrous collapse of that pitching staff (which would've made us a playoff powerhouse for years to come) over the next few years was the cherry on top. For me it's seeing these horrible patterns, and then fearing the next repeat. For example: from my perspective, 2003 & 2004 wound being a replay of '84 and '85 in soooo many ways. Just seeing that history repeat itself like that was incredibly depressing. Then I sit there and go, "OK, this is the next '03 right?" ".....and here comes the next '85!!" It's bad, I know. But I can't help it. I feel like I've seen these same couple movies too many times. I'd rather not see yet another sequel, know what I mean? Yeah, but you also realize that that's totally irrational, and stupid magic and pixie dust like that isn't real, and what happened 24 years ago has no bearing on what's happening right now. I do realize it's irrational. Absolutely. But guess what? That just adds to the frustration. Shouldn't be able to happen *AGAIN*. The Cubs have the best record in the NL. I know. Let's just keep it that way so I don't wind up in a padded cell ;)

  17. There we go Ram! Nothing cheap about that.

  20. It's simply the hallmark of any team that isn't playing particularly well.
  21. You're absolutely right. You honestly believe that? Would you have anymore satisfaction as a fan if the Cubs had managed to pull one out in 69 or 75 or 84 or any other year? Who the hell cares? 84? You bet your butt I would have more satisfaction.
  22. http://www.ufck.org/forums/images/smilies/banana-still.gif
  23. Much as I'd like to give Rammy the hit, that seemed like a pretty clear throwing error to me.
  24. What? Way too many throws and allowed the guy to get to second. OK, but a runner broke towards home and he didn't score. I wouldn't exactly tag that as a total failure. Not textbook perfect.
