  1. Kornheiser must be stopped. Yes Tony, we know this is Favre's old team and some comparisons are warranted, but do you have to make EVERY SENTENCE a comparison of Rodgers & Favre? Come on.
  2. Rodgers looks pretty good. I'm impressed so far. I'm starting to wonder when the big, bad, Super Bowl contender Vikings are going to show up. Because right now? Not seeing it, on either side of the ball.
  3. I wonder if Berrian is wondering about whether he went to the right team. Enjoy all that "freedom" to run routes, Bernard. 'Course, the ball won't be on target any time soon, but sure does feel nice to be able to run around don't it?
  4. Dennis Green begs to differ. :D Still great to watch, just one more time. Maybe ol' Denny thought we would be the Colts. "They're STILL who we thought they were!"
  5. i just assumed that colts fans were doing the cheering because they don't know what's going on. I thought that too. Earlier, when Forte scored a TD, there was a lot of cheering. A WTF moment for me. I'm way late on this, but I'm guessing a lot of people made their way from Cincy after today's Cubs game to the Bears game. The trip takes you right through Indianapolis and the timing was perfect. Would be an easy thing to plan out. There were lots and lots of Cubs fans in Cincy...the souvenir stands outside the park were selling more Cubs stuff than Reds stuff. And the interstate was like a literal convoy after the game. Good call. I'll bet that is what happened. I try to double my sports enjoyment if I can. The last time I was in Chicago for Cubs games, the Bears were playing a preseason game and I did just that.
  6. They were last year too and look what happened. Playoffs are a crapshoot, over the 16 games Dallas was the best team in the NFC and are likely better this year than last. Maybe so, I'm just saying, I wouldn't be penciling in Dallas for anything just yet. I wouldn't pencil in anyone for anything in this league at this point.
  7. They were last year too and look what happened.
  8. I love the NFL. There's always a few teams that surprise everyone, and there's always a few that disappoint. I'm not saying the Panthers & Bears are definitely going to be there at the end. It's too early for that. But I do love how unpredictable it can be from season to season; even week to week.
  9. The matchup is good, but I still think the Brewers win tonight.
  10. Yea cheap shotting with helmets has a tendency to knock people out of the game for a play or 2. I'm almost positive I saw Briggs and Mike Brown have similar plays. They hit hard, but didn't lead with there helmuts. whoever cleaned Addai's clock lead with the helmet, didn't they? Yup Retaliation. oh, well then it's fine then YOU BETCHA DAGNABBIT.

  12. If that were the case, why would Lou have Harden in the rotation the rest of the way? You might want to hold off on that argument until Harden, you know, pitches again. And you might want to hold on to that arguement until Harden, you know, doesnt pitch. As far as Ive heard, there are no indications that Harden wont pitch wednesday or thursday. If he doesnt pitch either of those games, then theres something wrong, and all the were just keeping him rested talk becomes bull pocky. At any rate, this season is going from Beautiful, to scary, to downright weird. Let's just wait to see what happens.
  13. I think this game is one of the more interesting games of the week.
  14. It would probably be ridiculous, but sometimes I wish there was a rule if you aren't enough games over .500, they revert to a 2nd Wild Card team instead.
  15. They did, but I saw an awful lot of holding that wasn't called. The best thing the Bears did was move their linebackers in and out of formations to confuse Manning. He wound up dumping off short most of the game. The Bears ran straight cover-2 very little yesterday. It was good to see. Babich/Lovie's defensive game plan was very solid.
  16. These teams are barely hanging around .500 It's truly a disgrace that one of these ballclubs will be given an actual shot to take out a really good baseball team in a short series just because they happen to reside in a horrible division.
  17. Yea, they're saying it was self-inflicted. Was he throwing a fit or just trying to see what would happen if he swung a bat into a wall? "I fouled off the second pitch and did something I've done since I was a kid. I had the bat in my left hand and hit it with my right hand." It's one of those things that people lambaste you for if it goes bad, but I'll bet lots of players do these sorts of things. Who doubts Zambrano would take a pasting if he had to sit out because he badly bruised his thigh after a strikeout? I think the White Sox are still winning that division.
  18. I was pretty down on the team too. But I think we should all keep an even temper here. That was a great win yesterday, but one good game does not make a season. They'll need to follow it up -- not necessarily this week, but consistently through the year. And the Panthers are a completely different football team than the Colts, so next week presents a whole different set of challenges and matchups. Glad Steve Smith won't be there -- I've got to say that. That guy just destroys us. I think we can handle Moose a little better :D)
  19. Anyone else tired of hearing how sad we should all feel about Brady being out for the year? Give me a break. It's football, injuries happen. Nobody was wishing for him to get hurt, but now that he is, let's see how the Patriots deal with it. You know, like every other football team has to deal with injuries to their key players. I'm not sad about this at all. This is always a possibility every time a player takes the field. That's why teams need to have good secondary plans. Oh and by the way, the last time the Patriots had this happen to them things turned out pretty darn good. I wouldn't be writing off their season, either. But let's please stop the boo-hoo pity party for Brady and the Pats. Deal with it, it's part of the game.
  20. His immediate and obvious look of surprise was great. I like it -- he's not paying lip service to it.
  21. Tillman wasn't too shabby either.
  22. Oh come on Madden even a punt block isn't going to save Peyton now.
  23. your horny? And uncir.... nevermind... I'm sure this is most other Bears fans http://www.dnagardens.com/images/Berry-Smart-happy.jpg Speaking of...err...happy fruits, is it just me or is this picture disturbing?: http://www.istockphoto.com/file_thumbview_approve/3811091/2/istockphoto_3811091_happy_fruit.jpg OK, maybe I'm just delirious with Bear-happiness right now, but that was freaking funny.
  24. Oh yeah, the rest of the country is turning the channel but I'm watching EVERY LAST SECOND of this one.
