    At some point they'll start backing off the safeties and a linebacker or two to see if the rest of the D can still shut down the run. That time is now. They're already backing off LBs on passing downs like crazy. More of that isn't going to help. To me this is a prime game to bring your most creative blitz schemes. Even some run blitzes. Put pressure on the kid. This is nearly a prevent style defense.

    Exactly like '06 against Arizona. Exactly like I feared. This is the WRONG defensive gameplan against a rookie QB like Ryan. You need to be dialing up blitzes on these passing downs. The Bears are doing nothing of the kind, just letting him lay back in the pocket. We'll lose this game easily unless they change that up.

    Pretty sure we had reasons to be worried about their defense and lack of center depth before the season started. They missed the playoffs by 1.5 games last season, so don't tell me two games don't matter. And it'd be different if we hadn't gone through this so many seasons in a row. Give me a few more games. Maybe they're just going through some opening season jitters. A few more games.

    Yep, @ Austin next weekend. 7:00 start I believe. Mizzou has beaten UT once in the past 92 years and hasn't won in Austin since 1896 (srsly). Streaks are made to end. And there's a solid chance Mizzou can catch UT on a bit of a letdown from the OU win.

    I'd welcome a cleaned house. Hendry has been able to assemble a playoff team by virtue of the massive resources he has at his disposal, but that doesn't make him a "good baseball man." It makes him a fortunate one.

    If they do, I don't notice it. We get harassed anyway. I'd rather not see Boston in another WS for awhile. That's about the only reason I can muster to even watch a few minutes of this series.

    Pretty good game that was. Mizzou plays Texas now right? Chance to play themselves back into it right away. The Big 12 is pretty fun to watch this year.

    It could also be what it looks like when Lowe has to face a quality lefty bat in a big situation. and when the starting pitcher actually throws the ball over the plate. and when the team isn't scared sh***less OK those too. :mrgreen:

    I'm shocked. LOL. yeah. Why should they? This whole thing has been way overblown. Here is an excerpt from ESPN article on it: Minor incidences like these happen all the time and you don't hear a word. Wade Phillips and a few of the players called out the local media, and now the media is trying to take shots at the Cowboys from any angle they can. Pattern of behavior. It becomes different when you're known to be a problem player. I don't know what really happened, but it's very disturbing for a guy told he was on a short leash to be even putting himself in this kind of position.
