  1. I don’t see this going well. Orange jersey + national TV = 27-10 Texans
  2. Safe to say Wicks ain’t got it tonite
  3. Yes, Poles overhauled the team especially the offense. Then he entrusted it to a head coach who has shown nothing for 2 seasons. If Eberflus succeeds, good. But I don’t understand why Poles decided to stick with the old while bringing in the new.
  4. Yeah I’m not expecting a win so I’ll be looking for areas of improvement from week 1. Hopefully mostly improvement and not regression.
  5. I’d max out lower 3rd of the 1st round but only for a back who is superior in all 3 skills (run, catch, block).
  6. Sorry to Jets fans. The magic pixie dust doesn't leave Lambeau.
  7. I on the other hand am well-known for my level-headedness especially in the moment. My post history illustrates this.
  8. Later in the game, they moved to a series of outs, and Caleb looked better. I know people want the scramble heroics but if he can put the ball on target quickly in the mid range out routes, use that. Around that same time the defense started getting pressure on Levis as well. It seemed to me that the Bears took too long to find what worked, but eventually they did. You can't count on the punt block, but you should be able to count on QB pressure and the mistakes that usually follow. And you should be able to draw up plays that get the ball out of Caleb's hand quicker. Let the athletic plays happen as required, because we all know that they will regardless of the game plan.
  9. I guess it’s too much to ask that people stop with the dumb “body language“ type stuff that has nothing to do with anything performance-related.
  10. Yes. No negative vibes allowed here. J/K. Thinking about the game this morning it seems like it took the Bears all day to figure out pressure on Levis. Then they got it right and he turned into a pumpkin. There wasn’t enough pressure on him most of the afternoon but even without, they only put up 17 so I’m happy overall, taking into account the in-game improvement and expecting improvement as the season goes on.
  11. That’s extra special karma after CLE went all-in on a dude like Deshaun.
  12. I was talking about the reaction to his performance, not the performance itself.
  13. This is what happens with absurdly high expectations. Caleb gets no chance to even learn and grow. The judgement hammer comes down immediately. He was bad today. Just have to hope he learns from it and improves next week.
  14. That is your DAGGER!
  15. Hurts is a mirage.
  16. I'm slowly coming to the conclusion that my takeaway from this season will be more or less a decent start to the Counsell era, as long as they finish strong in September. It's going to be tough to get the WC although I'm not ruling it out yet. But Counsell's first 2 seasons with Milwaukee were not good (61 and 73 wins, respectively). Only in year 4 did he reach the postseason. So it took awhile. At least for me, that was a bit of a surprise. He's had to fight through some abysmal performances from players we were counting on, and a terrible bullpen earlier in the season. The team is performing it's best right now after all that. Guys are hitting and the bullpen has solidified. Maybe I've got my rose colored glasses on. I'm still not thrilled with Jed's work in the offseason.
  17. Yeah I was mostly worried about Kyle imploding. Tonight was about a whopping 5 hits, 0-5 RISP, 9 LOB.
  18. We really need old Hendricks tonite.
  19. This guy worked in a drug rehab center.
  20. I know it but they FEEL shaky. It doesn’t make sense.
  21. Good teams shake it off and win the next one.
  22. Imagine if we just blunted the losing a bit earlier in the season. A lot of winnable games were lost and just flipping a few would have changed the season entirely.
  23. I guess it’s important to not only fix problems, but also to fix them quickly.
