  1. Kosuke's spent the night getting a clear view of the wall behind him as he runs full speed toward it.
  2. i don't see the league having much of a problem with the packers this year, really. Heh, we'll see about that. I like being under the radar. It worked in 2007 and I'm hoping it works again this year. And I like the Bears being doubted by people. Typically, they seem to do much better when people are criticizing them than when people say all is well and they'll be great. Bring on more Donald Driver comments.
  3. Milton's not ready for anything. He's terrible right now. I'm getting so sick of his failures at this point.
  4. She certainly kept good company when not with McNair.
  5. Everyone's already thinking that the Bears don't have a good receiver group. I guess it's just because Driver said it that it becomes out of bounds. Overall his comments didn't seem all that inflammatory.
  6. The Bears/Cards was great, but come on.....Dennis Green's rant after the game was pure genius.... I will cherish it forever.
  7. There's another interesting fact that makes me hate Ludwick: He's Ludwick.
  8. Well done. There's an outside chance the disembodied hand killed him before Sori's gun could finish the job.
  9. Good times. I'm ready for more 8-)
  10. It was Briggs. Briggs made the miracle stop to save it, so Grossman could make his best toss of the day in overtime to Sheed. There was also a Hester return for TD that was called back on a penalty. I couldn't believe it.
  11. So are 2 of his sons shut out? AND no will to boot. This guy was the very definition of irresponsible. Why would he ever do that to his kids? Now he's left them at the mercy of a woman he scorned, who probably can't even think straight for her hatred of him. His 2 other kids will be made to suffer. Dumb. Dumb. Dumb.
  12. I'm not sure I could say Savard 'deserved' to be fired either. It was only 4 games into the season. There were plenty of people suggesting that it might have been a quick hook. Who knows what really would have happened. I was comfortable with the move, so long as the guy that replaced him was an upgrade. I feel the same about this one. I don't know Stan Bowman very well, but I will judge the move based on whether I come to think of him as an upgrade over Tallon. If he is, then I'm real sorry for Dale, but the objective must always be to get better. Whether or not McD is jerk means exactly zero for me. If he starts making poor decisions, he'll get the criticism, but it won't be because of a negative perception of his personality traits. It will be because the decisions are bad.
  13. I was at the 2nd Seahawks game, in the playoffs. That was also fun, although very nerve-wracking.
  14. I gave up on the game and watched some other stuff. Then right before I was going to sleep, I figured heck with it, and I checked the score. It was much closer, and Kornheiser was freaking out. So I got to see the end of the comeback. Then the Denny Green stuff. I stayed up way too late that night, relishing it. It was a favorite game for me, but I also remember thinking this might be the end of the Grossman magic carpet ride. The next game he was solid again, but I believe that was against a horrible team. Too bad it turned out to be essentially correct.
  15. Still probably my favorite game of the last few years. Although the Bears/Saints NFC Championship is also fun, but more because it was the NFC Championship. It was a fun few minutes, but it was hardly my favorite game. It completely exposed all of Grossman's weaknesses and essentially served as the beginning of the end of his time at the helm, not to mention the end of Mike Brown's. It was a really ugly game. There were a couple road wins against GB that were more enjoyable, and I think the ugly weather destruction of Favre in Soldier Field was also better. The first two games of 2006, when they destroyed GB and Det were pretty nice, and I was at the latter which makes it better to me. Also the Giants and Jets games from that year, moreso the Giants game, were better efforts from the Bears and I was there. If I had a choice of watching the Bears/Cardinals game from 06, or the games you mentioned on NFL Network, I'd pick Bears/Cardinals without a second thought. That's how I'm judging it...:P He's right though. The Cards did expose Grossman that game. I don't know, of course, but what they did probably became the basis of the rush-heavy schemes he saw from that point after. And we know now, he couldn't handle it.
  16. If the Hawks were a team going nowhere, Havlat wouldn't even care. This is also very much about being removed from a desirable team, and being shipped to a less desirable one. If I was a Wild fan, I wouldn't be all that happy with Marty's comments.
  17. Still probably my favorite game of the last few years. Although the Bears/Saints NFC Championship is also fun, but more because it was the NFC Championship. I will always love Denny Green for the nuggets of gold he gave us after that one.
  18. I don't think he's bitter that they signed Hossa and not him. He's bitter because Tallon told Havlat they would resign him and McD went over his head and signed Hossa instead. At least that's the impression I am gathering. Then he should be upset with Tallon for telling him something he couldn't back up. He's got no case being upset with McD for exercising his authority as Tallon's superior. And besides, no matter what other factors are in play, being traded and/or let go is part of the reality of pro sports. You've got no right to be employed by a certain team, regardless of what anyone tells you. Deal with it and move on, don't keep yapping like a baby.
  19. In the military, we have "shock and awe." In Cubdom, it's "shocked and pissed."
  20. No argument with what you say, except: All this stuff about the defense being so tired. They're too tired, can't get it done. This was never an acceptable excuse before. If they get too tired, then that also means they aren't as good. They used to get it done IN SPITE OF being too tired.
  21. I thought it was great the article was in bloomberg.

  23. If that happens start planning your playoff parties.
