  1. The secondary is at the top of my list as well. To me that's a legitimate concern. Funny how some of these guys don't even want to talk about that. They just want to continue ranting about how much of a cancer Cutler is going to be.
  2. Yeah, that article is pretty much the equivalent of a board troll. Just some idiot trying & hoping to stir up trouble. It's too bad the media feels the need to try to upend the Bears this year, but I think so far this team has done a great job just letting it all roll off.
  3. I can't figure out why the guy's attorney would come out and say things have been overblown. That seemed really counterproductive to me, from the cabbie's standpoint. I mean, even if the cabbie did overblow things, why go on the air and broadcast that to the world -- especially at that point?
  4. It's really hard to judge the linemen until games start. But I was amazed by Pace. I expected a guy hobbling around, taking drills off to save himself, etc. etc. I never expected to see him so active, and moving so well. I was really happy with him.
  5. So this guy threw his plastic cup THROUGH the basket? That's a neat trick. or something similar... don't be like the guy in the white shirt, now.
  6. They're going to wind up laying down a plexiglass shield on the inside of that fencing because of douchebags like this. Or something similar that will further detract from the enjoyment of the game for everyone who would never dream of doing something like this. I liked the look on the face of the guy in blue. He's like "what the frak is the matter with you?" I immediately knew they had the wrong guy -- but the problem was, that guy was laughing at it so much and waving his arms, people who weren't in the immediate area thought for sure he must be the one. I really hate when this happens. Then people use it to paint all Cub fans as bad. I'll bet Brennaman chuckled, and then applied it all Cub fans, within seconds of seeing it. We'll hear about it on a future broadcast . It just winds up taking away from the game, one way or another.
  7. I thought that might be a slip up on the writer's part, but it seems like a bit of a no brainer given the fact that Bowman was given Peanut's spot (ergo he's highly regarded) when Peanut went down and Vasher has been underperforming. He has direct quotes from Lovie, so it may have been implied by something Lovie said... Either way, I would feel good about the position if those two guys were healthy and our starting CB's. All that aside... can someone explain what, "We'll be salty," means and how it's a good thing? Perhaps he's using it as a short version of the phrase "salty dog" : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Salty_dog_(slang)
  8. Sure, it's a bunch of comments questioning his intelligence, and then the page was taken down. #-o
  9. Hmm, wonder why it was removed. Clearly someone who has an axe to grind with Cutler. Or just someone who has hated the Bears since a certain day in 2006. That was my thought...and although he denies it in the comments, that's what I'm sticking with. It sounded like he was more attacking Cutler and hoping he would destroy the Bears from within, but yeah -- there's always that night in '06.
  10. Hmm, wonder why it was removed. Clearly someone who has an axe to grind with Cutler.
  11. He's a nose tackle so it's not like he's going to learn much. Basically, he's going to have a month to get ready for opening day. I'd be lying if I said it wasn't worried but if he signs within the next week, I don't think it'll be that big of a deal. If he doesn't get back soon, I could definitely see McCarthy holding him out for the first couple games. But I think you're right. If he's back in the next week, I think he can catch up enough to be in there. Any longer than that and it starts to get dicey.
  12. Yeah, everything's awesome when you're 0-0 like everyone else and you are ga-ga over the biggest acquisiton in decades. But football isn't played with 1 guy, and there are significant enough injuries and question marks on this team that I am definitely not taking anything for granted.
  13. Oh, man. I'm not sure watching this game will be a good idea for me.
  14. Each day that goes by increases the chance that the Bears will face a weak sister @ NT come opening day, so this is a good thing from my perspective. Hope he stays gone :)
  15. Cool. Hope that's all right. As for me, I'm really concerned about our defensive backfield. It's like a game of musical chairs back there right now.
  16. I really do not know why I cannot stop watching this crap.
  17. Very awesome.
  18. Gregg's average-ness really sucks.
  19. So the part about being choked and assaulted was just lies? This is getting interesting...
  20. To me that's the factor that often gets underplayed with WRs. It's probably because there isn't a lot of solid statistical analysis that can be attached to a WR coming out of the combine to tell you how well he might catch the ball. I can tell very easily how fast he's going to run though. But I would most like to know first -- before anything else -- if he can catch the ball well. I agree with your assessment of Olsen. I'm really, really excited to see what he does this year.
  21. The one thing I see in common is: good hands.
  22. Wow, the injuries this team has been through. I actually think we've done a good job hanging in there given the circumstances. But there's a point where it just can't be held up anymore. We may have reached that point.
  23. So he's interviewing Angelo and tweeting every response? LOL. Oh wait, excuse me Jerry I've got to tweet that.
  24. You say that like he has maintained his Pro Bowl Caliber play despite much less than 100% participation in practice. I know he's hurt but I'd like to get Tommie Harris all the work he can get. Actually, now that I know he's had knee surgery only a few months ago, I agree with Lovie that he should be given light duty until he's ready. I just didn't realize that we were keeping offseason surgeries a secret now. I never expected that. But if the man's knee is still healing, then it's still healing.
