So, Lovie gets paid until 2011, and Angelo until 2013. Get ready for the long, cold winter of Bear fans' discontent. You know, it's funny. After the Super Bowl, it was obvious that someone in the Bears' organization was reluctant to pay all that cash for Lovie. But the whole world was screaming at the Bears to pay him. At the time, I admit it: I wanted him re signed too. Whoever that person was must have known something. A little inkling perhaps, that the good times with Lovie Smith weren't likely to last. Right about now I find myself wishing the Bears didn't make that long term investment.
