  1. What an amazing game. Playoff hockey is so awesome.
  2. We lost 3 DEs this offseason in Ogun, Adams, and Brown. Peppers is one player. I don't mind that pick so much, although I find myself wondering once again what the plan is to improve the oline and better protect our franchise player.
  3. You're just mad that LeBron took his SATs. The way I see it, you either learn to ignore his antics, or learn to like them. Because they aren't going away any time soon and it's not worth getting upset over.
  4. The Bulls weren't going to expend any more energy than necessary against a team like Washington that year. They did exactly what was required to win, nothing more. They had a championship to win, and Washington wasn't worth blowing out by 20. Jordan did things like that because he knew it would stick in players' craw, which from Webber's comments 13 years later it sounds like he still hasn't gotten over it.
  5. The shots may have been even, but I saw better play from the Hawks in the zone last night. There appeared to be much more action in front of the net (in my limited knowledge). Rinne may have had an off night, but Niemi looked very solid to me. There were a couple times he made good saves to keep the Preds from getting anything going. To be honest I didn't focus much on Campbell, but it was nice to see him back in the lineup. Now we'll see if the Preds have any adjustments for us for game #5. This is a tough series, but if we can get past it then I think it ultimately helps us because there won't be a single player on this team who goes into the next series with the idea that they can let up on the gas pedal.
  6. We've got to post a few wins with both Sori and Soto answering the questions.
  7. I may have seen ARam struggle this bad at the plate but I don't remember it.
  8. Plan?
  9. *checks calendar for April 1*
  10. According to the police report, he cherry-plucked a drunk girl from a bar and then set up his body guards to protect the room, not allowing her friends entrance when they realized what was going on and wanted to check if she was OK. The prosecutors declined to file criminal charges. But Goodell is well within a decent range with this suspension. I'd have given him half a season.
  11. And be replaced by his brother, George. There's no escaping that family. Here's hoping that: Bill -> Rocky = Michael -> George
  12. It's the best possible fit for Cromartie, I think he'll have a solid year. He's going to be lined up against all #2's/3's and with the pressure they get it's about as good of a spot as you can have. True, although teams will most certainly try to throw his way more. Looking at the schedule I'm not seeing the Bears having a much more successful year than 09, although it's too early for me to throw out a w/l prediction.
  13. Just need to win one of the two. So....next game is obviously more important now. Preds will play their choking style and it will be up to the Hawks to defeat it like they did in game 2. Man, the NHL playoffs are really hard to get a handle on. Low seeds can really do damage in this league. Makes it exciting....unless you're looking an early exit straight in the face like we are.
  14. I won't truly panic unless it goes 3-1 for the series, but certainly right now I'm concerned.
  15. Maybe the problem with the Cubs is that they don't use PEDs. Or maybe they haven't learned the proper trickeration to get away with it. Maybe we need to produce som ELearning lessons for our PED-less Cubbies.
  16. Not giving up in April by any means. But the stink emanating from this club is becoming very noticeable.
  17. Kopecky been playing beyond what I thought he was capable of.
  18. Hey there's one! Ok now turn this thing around!
  19. So far not so good. They're controlling too much of action and it looks like the Hawks are getting frustrated.
  20. Kind of sad. I don't totally hate Lou, but I think we're closing in on the time where the good of the team must trump a final tour of duty for an old time manager. If we're not talking playoffs this year, then round about late May or June, I no longer see the point of keeping this thing going as is. I'll be hoping we're sellers too.
  21. He sounds like a tea-leaf reader or something. The "signs" point to a Preds win?
  22. If the team doesn't play much better by late May, how about firing Lou and giving Tram a shot? Right now I'm having trouble seeing the point of this season unless it somehow helps set us up for the future. I'd like to see if Trammel can be decent his 2nd go around prior to making a decision during next offseason. Late May still gives time for a team to execute a turn around.
