  1. Yeah, I know nothing about how Calipari would work out as Bulls coach, but I can tell you whether or not I personally like him means very little.
  2. "Mendoza twins"? Really?
  3. I'll bet in June nobody will care much that Rammy had a slow April.
  4. It's a little late for tactics to limit the exposure of the VDN firing. The entire media world has been on it for a long time. It's a been a topic since Christmas. I wonder if they are deciding on Paxson's fate, and that is the holdup.
  5. Furrey = Supah Bowl.
  6. It is definitely an ongoing source of angst for me to see the OLine ignored like it is by Angelo. He did bring in some OLine help last year, but for the most part it wasn't effective. At this point I just think he sucks at OLine evaluation, so we'll continue to see more of the same from him until he's gone.
  7. I wasn't saying they went out and got worse, but what you are writing seems to me to just reiterate my point that they are just running in place despite multiple changes. I don't see the upgrade. Tillman still being the best LB isn't a good thing. The who is going to play safety question may have been answered, but it's still very much in doubt how well they will play. And the line remains a major point of doubt. It's not much of a doubt in my mind that Harris will play better than what we had last year.
  8. Yeah the best thing they can do for the All Star game is quit trying to turn it into something it is not.
  9. Apparently this new fangled Cub offense is best fueled by Brewer pitching, and nothing else.
  10. I really wouldn't mind seeing Trammel get a shot. Those Detroit teams he managed never had a chance. He deserves another opportunity with at least some talent on his roster. I'd definitely prefer him over Sandberg.
  11. Payne's problem is that he doesn't have great instincts. He's good depth, I agree with that.
  12. Of course. And don't forget, he's getting his extra fat pads ready. Probably won't shower, too.
  13. I see what you're saying, but Peppers>Brown, and Harris>Payne IMO. I wouldn't describe it as a treadmill. They need an actual OL acquisition this year, not a group of retirees and/or depth guys that they sell us on the idea they might be more than junk.
  14. I was going to dispute you, but then I realized you must have dyslexia and just screwed up the names. Rondo is a better passer, rebounder, and defender. Their slashing abilities are almost a wash, although Rose probably does have a slight advantage. And, Derek has a big advantage in the mid-range game. I wouldn't say it is by a large margin, but I'd give it to Rondo for now. It's OK man. Everyone will understand if you just admit your little "problem."
  15. This team is detrimental to my overall mental health.
  16. I was going to dispute you, but then I realized you must have dyslexia and just screwed up the names.
  17. what about the tommie harris incident? They'll get over it. Plus if he's playing LG, he won't have to deal w/ Tommie directly in practice....I don't know. Hayes blogged that Justin Smiley might be another possibility: http://blogs.suntimes.com/bears/2010/04/bears_have_other_options_at_gu.html
  18. MY GOD, they just dropped 2/3 to the Washington Nationals.
  19. I hate feeling like our starter can't give up 3 runs or it isn't good enough. Good Lord start getting some damn runs you fools.
  20. It's failures like that which make me understand why word around the league is to not panic against the Cubs no matter what -- just let the Cubs defeat themselves. They usually do.
  21. Hard to believe the level of failure with bases loaded from this damn club.
  22. But right now he is. No. At best Rose .v. Rondo is a tossup. Give Rose, Johnson and Bosh to run with and we will see if Rose .v. Rondo is even a debate. Right now, if Rondo has an advantage it is slight. Just looking at the stat line between the two, I don't see how it would be clear at all that Rondo is better than Rose, even currently. Certainly potential is on Rose's side.
  23. If Silva continues to perform, then it becomes a rather large feather in Larry's cap, I would think.
