  1. I think .6 ypc is fairly significant in terms of the success of those runs.
  2. I don't know, I just try to ignore when they talk about him.
  3. One thing about this: we don't live life in slo mo. Slo mo shows all kinds of things that really aren't representative of how it actually happened. Yes, it clarifies some things, but it distorts others. I feel like sometimes we are taking the slo mo as sacrosanct, and disregarding the live action replay.
  4. I hate the Sports Reporters and do my best to avoid it. I happened to flip to ESPN a little early yesterday morning just in time to see the Lupica spot. Best thing I ever saw on that show. As far as the HOF goes, didn't Ronnie make it clear that he didn't want to be inducted posthumously? I really like to watch Outside the Lines Sunday mornings. Sports Reporters usually finds me flipping over to the morning network broadcasts. Last Sunday, however, I was looking for a parting shot on Santo. And Lupica delivered a very nice one, IMHO. Most of the time I find him to be a little annoying -- but not this time.
  5. You forgot one important date: April 1, 2011 -- Season Over.
  6. At first I found it annoying, but then decided it's nice to have the option of watching a game just about every night for nearly a month. Yes, but I thought we couldn't play too many bowls after the 1st because it interferes with studying and what not.
  7. jersey said it -- that blurb is incomprehensible.
  8. Will they solve the breakdowns issue or is it just going to continue all year? I can understand not having the consistent defensive talent, but it seems like some of these breakdowns are just boneheaded moves. Boneheaded-ness should be solvable.
  9. He's got 10 INTs right now. I was surprised by the number of QBs who are still in single digits in INTs, but I'll take that given he's got 17 TDs. It's going to be tougher to maintain this until the end of the year because the level of competition is about to jump up. But I really like how he's toned down the mistakes. As others have noted, I *love* how he's using his legs more. I don't think many teams are going to be able to account for that. He's going to be treated as a pocket passer, I think -- which means opportunities to hurt teams by running should continue to present themselves.
  10. I thought I saw where the Hawks penalty kill is pretty bad. checking....yes, 25th. That has been disappointing, but I guess expected as well. It's a frustrating year so far. Expected to some degree, but still frustrating.
  11. So they dump Dunn, acquire Werth... ....and will remain horrible. Good job.
  12. I don't :) You can have Mallett, but fire Leslie and hire someone horrible who will make sure he's ruined.
  13. Maybe no one would have paid that amount, but if the Yanks angered Jeter I could see him then turning around and signing somewhere else for less. The point would be, he signed somewhere else. I don't think that was acceptable to the Yankees in this case. Frankly if they wasted cash on a player who isn't really worth it, then that's good news to me.
  14. Latest I have heard about Kane: http://blogs.dailyherald.com/node/4950 Q says he doesn't think it is serious, but declined to speculate on how long he will be out or the exact nature of the injury.
  15. We get NE at home, which makes it at least an interesting matchup for me. I think we lose that game, but maybe........who knows.
  16. Mega-chortle-choke.
  17. Looked at a replay of it, and it seems his ankle or knee was hurt being jammed into the boards on a hit.
  18. Uhh, yeah. That nose is broken, Steelers injury-reporting people. Stop saying it isn't. Thanks.
  19. I have to root against the Steelers. I've developed a healthy dislike for them over the past few seasons. Go Ravens.
  20. Whew. Glad that's settled.
  21. I know, it's addicting.
  22. I'll just do what I usually do in these situations: wait for the point where he's wearing the team jersey & hat and talking about how he's looking forward to the season and yada yada.
  23. When I watch that hit in real time, I still think it's a penalty. When slowed down, as I think the league will do, they'll see that it does not deserve a fine. I just don't know how an official could be expected to not flag something like that, given the current climate of trying to limit violent shots to the upper portion of players and how violently Cutler's head jerks around on that hit. Plus, it was totally unnecessary to the play. I'd expect my player to just make a tackle. Why risk such a thing in a tight game when you know what the league has just said about unnecessarily rough hits? At the very least it's a really, really stupid move for Suh to make. If people want to call me a homer for feeling this way, then so be it. That's my take.
  24. Yeah, I just came here to post this. Kaner being helped off the ice, into the locker room. This looks bad/serious.
