That's a pretty big assumption. Harbaugh did a fantastic job with a downtrodden school in the PAC 10. There's no reason to assume he would fail back at his Alma mater.

From what I hear the faithful are salivating over the prospect of Harbaugh. He fits their identity much better. I know a few alums and they tell me RRod was a mistake.

I for one wish I could have seen NW play with their real team rather than in this greatly diminished state. They may still have lost but at least they would have had a chance to be entertaining. Really sucks for us few who care.

I'd love to see Capers leave the North, precipitating a decline in GB. But it's a horizontal move, and frankly GB seems like a better gig right now.

Yeah, it's a fraud ranking Michigan state in the top ten. Very strange seeing them ranked higher than Alabama coming into the game.

I sure hope he has another solid year or two in him, for Orioles' fans sake. They seem happy from what I saw. I'll always like Derek, but it seemed pretty clear to me he was well on his way down. -
Big 10 officials had themselves some kind of terrible day. I don't care about any of these teams but it's offensive to see games tip on bush league reffing.

This. Yes, mostly the latter. Cub fans would still have liked him after they realized there wasn't anything magical about his schtick. But then he insisted on being a turd. That was the end.

the chiefs have. the bears have shown how you can have a really good record without being a great team. win the turnover margin most of the time, have good special teams, play pretty good defense, don't suffer any injuries. Everything you just mentioned with the exception of the injuries is what makes a team great. And how have the Chiefs accomplished more? They're one game worse than the Bears while at the same time playing in an inferior division. did you read the original comment? Arguably the Chiefs, but they do have one more loss.

The Chargers are entertaining. Why go through all the trouble assembling the parts for a championship only to ruin it with Norv?

People should quit trying to find more reasons why the Bears should still be thought of as a bad team, and simply give credit where credit is due. They've done a fantastic job this year. No team has accomplished more this season with more question marks than the Chicago Bears.

I also think there's a decent, though certainly not overwhelming, chance that the Eagles drop a game, giving the Bears the bye. It could happen. The Eagles came back on the suddenly shaky Giants, but they also needed to come back because they were getting beat down by them. The Packers handled that same team pretty much all game.
