  1. I'm not comfortable with it. I feel like they're waiting back in the early part of the game rather than just coming with their A game right away. Late in the 4th they turn it on and put it away. Just put Indy away early and forget about it. One of these games Indy won't go cold late, and they'll lose.
  2. we can do a mount rushmore thing with just the faces of the starters (except bogans) Rose gets a statue. Boozer gets a really crappy bobble head that is obviously a recycle job from some other guy we traded the year before. How are we honoring Scalabrine in all this? He can sponsor the Dunkin Donuts giveaway. Free Donut every time the 12th man gets into the game and makes a basket.

  4. Agreed. Scott represents: "crap, we lost Big Buff and failed to replace him." He represents our failure to re-tool.
  5. OK, at least it's only a 3 point deficit. Start playing like the Bulls, and less like some crappy team. Thanks.
  6. Horrible everything so far.
  7. YEAH! CUBS WIN! CUUUUBBBS, WIN!
  8. Now would be a good time to NOT swing at the crappy low-and-away slider, Geo.
  9. Yes, he is their TV announcer. Just really random and strange to me.
  10. Wait a minute. What the hell? Dick Enberg is doing play-by-play for the Padres?
  11. I don't know, but I'm worried about Carlos pulling a groin with that kind of crazy follow through.
  12. Maybe I should just turn it off until the 4th quarter. Or is there some kind of email alert I can receive when the Bulls wake up? "This is an automated email. The Bulls decided to actually play basketball. Do not reply to this email."
  13. The Padres play-by-play guy could no longer contain himself, and just started laughing at the home run balls we've hit that died before even getting close to going out.
  14. I think it's settled: Byrd's definitely not getting roids from Conte.
  15. Game is right there to win, and the core of the lineup is coming up. How about flat out getting it done, right here.
  16. I don't get how they have free runners at the basket so often. If I told someone who never watched this Bulls team that they were one of the best defensive teams in the NBA this year, I'd be roundly laughed out of the room.
  17. Holy crap, Marshall. That was beautiful.
  18. It's not even shooting. He's making point-blank cleanup duty look hard. Finally, Boozer.
  19. There's no reason to even think about throwing a strike. Just toss it about 2 feet wide of the plate and the Cubs will oblige. Ridiculous.
  20. Down to 23% shooting now? Seriously, Bulls?
  21. Normally, I think you're right. And I also seem to remember Q stating something along those lines. Last year, the Hawks were so good that I recall more than one time where they failed on a 5-on-3 and STILL won the game. This year we just don't have that kind of margin to overcome lost opportunities like that. Yeah, our 5 on 3 PP last year wasn't very good either. You have to capitalize on those opportunities when you get them, especially when you have a long two-man advantage like we did last night. We're just too tentative in those situations. There were a lot of guys who were just standing around and not helping the point man during that advantage last night. I watched a couple times in fairly quick succession where they just passed it around the perimeter and never even sent it in. At some point someone needs to take a shot. But whatever. If they were going to be good they wouldn't have barely secured the 8 seed on the last game of the year on a surprise loss by the Stars.

  23. I hate the way the NBA is officiated, but I doubt those types of drive-to-the-basket plays are going to become no-calls around the league. If it's not going to be applied differently league-wide, then it shouldn't be changed just for Indiana because they complain about it with D Rose. If someone can guarantee it would be a no-call everywhere, then fine. I'm guessing what will actually happen is that Rose will now get fewer calls because Indy complained, while guys like D Wade will continue to get the call every time.
  24. It's not about whether it "goes your way" or not. It's about ensuring to the greatest degree possible (and practical) that games are decided correctly, which flows into correct statistics, correct playoff/non-playoff teams, correct draft positions -- everything.
