  1. Gonna see baseball playoff beards now, forever.
  2. I was beginning to wonder if Wacha would ever get tagged up.
  3. Poor guy. I can hardly hold back the tears.
  4. Bulls are pretty good at winning basketball games, but ok. They're pretty good at winning regular season games (Thibodeau is 157-73) but Tom Thibodeau is 16-18 in the playoffs. And it's not all on him. This team has lacked a scorer for years. Eventually you might want to get one. Don't leave us hanging. Give us your master stroke of GMing that will acquire a great scorer while preserving the core of the team.
  5. Probably, but it does sound like he could be back earlier than the 4 week diagnosis. Maybe BM was right all along.
  6. I'll be in SF, watching this catastrophe from a hotel bar. Packers 42, Bears 17.
  7. That's the real Cardinals right there isn't it. On the surface, best fans ever, great small town team done good, knights in shining armor for the poor midwest, play the game the right way, yada yada. Underneath? Muuuuch different story.
  8. Gonna be a jolly good time. For a quarter or so.
  9. I'd love to call BS on the Cardinals but I think it was the right call. And these crappy throws that the Red Sox keep making in key moments of the game. Not really conducive to winning a World Series. They are literally throwing away the series right now.
  10. What a giant steaming pile of failure from the Cowboys.
  11. Every cards reliever can dial up a 98+ mph heater and it pisses me off.
  12. Just because it's kind of fun to bitch & moan about your teams. There's no real point.
  13. Now I'm starting to wonder if Theo's beginning to overthink this a bit. Not seeing how Wedge makes much sense here.
  14. The Cardinals are too good alright. Too good at hiding all their cheating. THAT GUY WOULD BE OFF MY CHRISTMAS CARD LIST!
  15. Yep, I'm pretty sure I've seen Cards pitchers with it on their hat, and openly touching it before gripping the ball. I assume others are doing it, too. This is no scandal.
  16. You're a Cubs lifer just like everyone else on this board. You aren't going anywhere. Also, this likely won't happen.
  17. But that's a real good reason to hate them :)
  18. Putting him in a spot where he's more likely to have to tackle RBs on a regular basis than at CB seems counter intuitive to me when you're trying to keep him away from injuries. Maybe, but safeties seem to acquire injuries regardless - probably for the exact reason you described. It wouldn't be just a Tillman thing if he spent time injured. I think he'd be good at it, for a couple years. It depends on how the Bears look at it and how much he's paid.
  19. yeah, when im like "[expletive] the red sox" i realize that if they win this series, that will be two times in less than a decade they saved us from a st louis world title plus another world series that theo had significant influence on. Yep.
  20. And he may have injured himself.
  21. SOOOO damn close.
  22. I still value leadership, nebulous as that may be. Yeah, I care. I want our next manager to be the guy who becomes a legend in this town for riding the Cubs to the top. We all do. Maybe it's difficult to say a manager can positively cause wins to happen, but I think he can screw things up enough to send the team in the wrong direction - even if he's a pretty smart person. So I think this is an important move for the Cubs, yes.
  23. Hah. Please let this continue.
