OK, you can say he won't be successful. But don't say that's a "bad challenge." It's clearly worth a try. Ball came out clearly short of the marker, and there are pretty good angles. He may lose it, but it's not bad to challenge this. Why? The reward is minimal on that challenge IMO. It was very very close and at best you get a 4th and inches that a team will convert 95% of the time for a 1st. It's not worth risking 1 of your TOs It's easy to say that now that they went for it. That was a big risk they took. If they don't get it there, the whole game may turn around against the Vikes. It was a good challenge, and a successful one.
