  1. Here it is. A chance for the Bengals to win the damn game. This is your SEASON, man!! It's YOUR SEASON!!
  2. On that 3rd & 8, I swear I saw a hold that sprung the 1st down catch.
  3. That was some kind of awesome, but Cincy would still need to finish the job.
  4. He didn't but this is an easy QB sneak now. THAT is why you challenge those.
  5. Nobody's mentioning the shadow on the ground. Proves he didn't make it.
  6. Well, that last one was right on target, and fumbled after the catch. He's struggling in the early regular season. This isn't unusual, IIRC.
  7. Now, yeah. But back then, when Lovie was hired, it really wasn't a terrible hire. Certainly not stupid.
  8. Somehow Rodgers just gets up and walks away from that. That's a blown knee and season over for just about anyone else.
  9. It feels like Cincy might fumble on every play for the rest of the game.
  10. Watching Saints. What you talking about? Jermichael Finley took a really big shoulder hit to the head from a safety while making a big first down catch (which he then dropped). Got up, ran 10 feet, and had to lie down for probably a couple of minutes. No penalty called Aside from the fumble and the int (and the int was bad), Bengals look very good. Finley getting up and then stumbling around looked bad, but the hit didn't look too bad to me. The replays looked like the defensive player was sort of holding up and it was just finley in an awkward position. In fact, I am sort of surprised that he looked like he had a concussion from the hit. Maybe it was when he hit the ground. http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-kjAQaSSbtSE/Uj8pY5p_2WI/AAAAAAAABAQ/oc3aJo7iXYs/s400/finley11.gif That's not a good angle to view Finley's head snapping back from the hit.
  11. So far Bengals look pretty damn good on defense.
  12. Watching Saints. What you talking about? Jermichael Finley took a big shot to the head in the GB/CIN game. He's out, getting examined. Quarles just dropped an easy throw too.
  13. Almost certainly. Apparently people don't care about QBs leading receivers into coverage over the middle anymore.
  14. I really do like him.
  15. Almost glad he didn't now. They weren't going beyond the first round, maybe the 2nd with some luck. Emery would have kept Lovie in this case. Too hard to make the case to fire a playoff coach. Maybe he could have made a case that Lovie needs to hire a better OC with the input of others, I don't know. Ultimately it just would have made it harder to move on, and Lovie would have eventually been gone anyway. I'd rather just get it over with sooner rather than later -- turn the page.
  16. That is interesting, especially now. Just a little story: I had a chance to explore the Ducks practice facility a couple years ago while visiting Eugene. I didn't really know much about Kelly's philosophy at the time other than it was an uptempo team that was doing well in the Pac 10. Anyway, their main practice field is indoors, and all around the inside are posters with sayings like "the difference between winning and losing is a hundreth of a second," stuff like that. It was all about eeking every last little bit of speed. The posters are huge, stretching half the length of the field. I thought, wow, indoctrination (not necessarily in a bad way). It was an off day, so the place was completely empty. Except for one car in the parking lot: coach Kelly's Benz SUV. You could tell by his customized license plate. After reading that article, I kind of wish I had managed to see one of the practices. Would have been fun to witness.
  17. I'm glad it didn't leak out last year.
  18. Pretty much matches my expectation for this game. Which, of course, means the Bears win 41-37.
  19. in which they're 3rd in yards per game, just a foot behind Denver in 2nd (they were 15th last year) It's a little early to make statements about teams yet, but if you look at their first two games, they faced two defenses that are bringing up the rear in the NFL in pts/game. KC's defense, on the other hand, is near the top. What sticks out to me is Philly's terrible TOP. I thought the idea was to run a ton of plays and keep the ball.
  20. But I wanted my new wildcat to rant about.
  21. It's likely they're coaching him to tuck it and run on pass plays rather than force throws with a lead. He's mobile enough to gain a few yards running. My impression of him has always been if he starts forcing throws, really bad things will happen.
  22. Expecting more of Martellus. You've got to know it was Wilder.
  23. They didn't realize "blur offense" meant a blur of mistakes, bad coaching calls, and misfires -- leading to a 10 point deficit.
  24. That's more the Rose/rationalization thing. Whatever, play well and I won't care about much else. We just need to see him on the court every other night so that his words don't matter anymore.
