    I would love to give Miz another bad start, even if we lose, just to inflict a small amount of mental anguish on Crew fans and hopefully some lingering doubts as they head into the playoffs.

    Very mad. I’m now a butthurt fan devoid of rational thought. No confidence the Cubs will win either of the next 2 games.

    Know what else is starting to bum me out? Sounds crazy I know. But the PCA solo shots, because I know we need more runs than that. How do we get base runners on ahead of him? Hitting leadoff works against that, but Pete is the best leadoff hitter I’ve ever seen.

    I put this one on the RISP failures. What do you want CC to do? All the relievers suck and he knows it. Boyd is gassing out, and he either rolls the dice with him or rolls the dice with the nightmare bullpen. What’s the difference? The horses just aren’t there. But you have runners on base, the big hits have to happen. Just have to, or we will lose.

    Yep. Even if they make it, they’ll be so easily dismissed people will remember 2026 for PCA but the playoffs will never be mentioned.

    Yeah it’s great to have a little power but not if you aren’t going to go up there with an approach other than swing swing swing. Maybe CC saw that.

    I wish I could be that fan that doesn’t have negative selection bias but I’m not. It seems like they never come through against this team, or in the really big spots. Maybe that’s why they win 17-3 and then lose 8-6. Nice run diff but it doesn’t really matter.
