  1. Yeah, but NE is obviously diminished
  2. Fine by me. Fair point - concentrating on a strength rather than a weakness.
  3. I wouldn't be surprised by an early pick used on a #2 TE. The Bears offense has been great, but it's basically been 2 WRs, a TE, and a RB. Another weapon to throw to can only improve things another notch, TE or another WR. I expect the opposite approach to free agency. A couple vets on 1-year deals on offense (OL, TE, or backup RB). And a concerted effort to build up the D-line with a couple FAs and probably a 1st round draft pick. Plus, it scares me every time Martellus gets dinged up. We just don't have impressive TE depth. Even aside from 2 TE sets, just the depth would be great. No worries. Alshon will just play TE too.
  4. You're in Indiana and bitching about ONE jerk Cowboy fan at work? I'll trade spots with you in a heartbeat. Cut him some slack. He's trying to stay interested.
  5. The Steelers? They've maintained solid seasons despite a coaching change and without a super-elite QB. The Eagles missed the playoffs just twice from 2000-2010 with McNabb, non-elite. That's pretty much it. But it's not like the league is completely littered with super-elite QBs. There's Brady, Peyton, Brees, and Rodgers/Favre carrying the most consistent teams. So, of the 6 teams dominating since 2000, 4 have 1st ballot HoF QBs, and 2 have/had QBs at about Cutler's level. Ravens should be put on that list, IMO. It's still easier to succeed on a yearly basis by having one great player at QB, rather than try to manage keeping several at other areas.
  6. More refs maybe? A QA ref in the booth? I don't know. It's really embarrassing watching some of this stuff, and when it hurts my team, obviously it drives me half crazy.
  7. I don't know what needs to be done, but the officiating in the NFL just has to get better. This is every damn week with the bush league screw ups.
  8. Yeah, fitting that the BCS era ends with one more maddening round of "we got hosed."
  9. I really could've used a Blackhawks game tonight.
  10. Too soon, still angry.
  11. Yeah. Makes me sad though. We are trapped with him for awhile. He either gets better at this, or I will have no hair left.
  12. Yeah well that's double dog dumb
  13. Moving the ball well but a lot of drives are stalling.
  14. They likely wouldn't have made the playoffs anyway. What sucks is that it seems like we will have to watch this for at least one more season.
  15. I always thought he was a shaky hire. So did many others
  16. There's a certain ballsiness to settling for a 47 yard field goal on 2nd down with your season on the line. Is ballsiness the right word? Stupidity is a better one
  17. Trestman is definitely not ready to be an NFL head coach.
  18. Love Gould, but this worries me
  19. I think they should run another play
