  1. Interesting wrinkle in the 2nd round. Haven't seen too many predicting an RB there.

    Castro

Castro had 1,200 PA's worth of .340-ish OBP. Why shouldn't we expect him to get back to that level? It's not like he only did it for half a season. It was his rookie year (125 games) + his full 2nd season.
  3. He's only suggesting it because he will be the visiting team and would love for the Clippers home court advantage to be neutralized as much as possible. Sports owners are like promoters. If Mark Jackson feels so strongly he Shouldn't go himself. But he's not putting any money in Sterling's racist wallet by coaching. Yes, although unfortunately this is ticket money that has already made its way to Sterling's wallet. At this point not showing up would only hurt those players.
  4. Obviously I'm rooting for them, but I'm going to need to see something way different tonight for me to believe they'll take 3 in a row. Starting the game with a lead instead of a 15-some point deficit would be preferrable, for example.
  5. On an actual basketball note: not only are the Bulls just about done, but the Pacers are on the brink as well. I'd be more surprised by the Pacers not making it out of the first round, in spite of their struggles late in the regular season. Next game is in Atlanta too.
  6. I LOL'd.
  7. MIN/COL going to game 7. Avs pulled the goalie with nearly 3 minutes left w/ only 1 goal lead. Not sure but I don't remember seeing that before. Wild burned them twice with the empty net.
  8. Others have said it, but come on OMC. If you're going to run a team based on local fan sentiment, it's time to find a different career. They should make the right decision for their team -- South Texas' meatballs want crooked numbers in the win column like everyone else.
  9. What is it with MIN blowing 2 goal leads?
  10. Chris Paul. I heard he might be looking for, shall we say, a change of scenery.
  11. That doesn't make any sense since the Blues officially called it an upper body injury, at least that's what I heard. Also, was a broken toe really going to heal enough to play over a span of 5 days? I wonder if there's confusion between two different injuries. Backes had a foot injury earlier in April.
  12. I'm definitely hoping the Wild can take care of business on home ice. Hopefully they can put the last game out of their heads and make things tougher on the Avs.
  13. In the absence of any of these 'people' being identified, I have to assume this is coming from the Ricketts themselves who had nothing to do with the team at the time. Everyone else speaking is just part of a big PR game. I have little doubt this is coming from our spineless, misguided owner. He might have at least come out and said it himself from the start instead of hiding behind one of his little stooges.
  14. Well this certainly helps ease the Bulls pain a little.
  15. No but their fans will tell you they have a knack for it going back way more than the last two years. I became a hockey fan in the early 1990s, and this is basically how I always remember the Blues. A regular-season juggernaut who becomes a nice foil in the playoffs for the Red Wings or the Avs or now the Blackhawks. I seem to remember a period of time where the Hawks were also like that. It seems like something that might be slightly more common in hockey for whatever reason.
  16. Blues aren't the first to put together solid seasons and crap out in the playoffs.
  17. It's got to be painful. Long season, nobody wants to go out like that once let alone two seasons in a row But they played themselves into this matchup with their swoon. Well, but we kind of did too
  18. It's got to be painful. Long season, nobody wants to go out like that once let alone two seasons in a row
  19. What a difference a period makes. Like 2 completely different games
  20. Haha Hawk fans paying Miller back
  21. Now I'm nervous because you can't let it go when it's right in the palm of your hand. I don't want to see a lot of action in our zone
  22. Definitely a hook, sharpie just fought through
