    No thanks. But I wonder if Gamble would extend that Kelly relationship to the current Oregon coach. Yeah, I want Gamble and I'd be extremely interested in the Oregon coach. Not sure it would work, but definitely intriguing. DeCosta's gone. Ballard feels wrong to me. I'll settle for Gamble, with or without a package. I think he'd hire a much better coach than what we've had around here.

    I could post screenshots from my Facebook newsfeed. Though, most of my Alabama fan friends knew they didn't have a dominant team this year. Kids & women are usually unaware and therefore shocked as hell :) Oh well.

    Is there an indication Shanahan would go for that? I'm not a fan anymore. I was, at times, when he was in Denver but the Washington years put some tarnish on him for me. Dammit, my masterplan to hire DeCosta and rule the world didn't happen.

    It's hard to get past the hiring of two successive KC guys though. But I agree it doesn't look like a simple repeat when you look at it a little deeper. I'll try to be open-minded like I was with Emery.

    Even if Duke had capped off an undefeated season with a title last year, and hadn't lost since? The point is, last year shouldn't matter at all for this year. If Duke runs the table this year their only good wins are FSU in the ACC title game and Georgia Tech. Not sure that gets them into the top 4 from unranked. FSU was only in the top 4 because they started at the top. I understand, but your point was that the Florida State name is what you bought them the ranking. I have to disagree with you on that one. Florida State's name was huge because they won the national championship. If a lesser team does that too, then they also become legends and their brand name is just as powerful heading into the next season. Even if that's a lesser-known team right now. In fact it might even be more The case with a lesser-known team if they just plowed the field like that.

    Decosta must have some kind of timing from Newsome on his retirement. If not then it's foolish to keep turning down great opportunities to stay below his qualifications based on something that might not happen for years. Newsome is still young and publicly has not indicated a timeline that I can find.

    Best offensive skill players in the NFL + horrible offense = all Jays fault Yeah, this is basically a job ranking that follows Billick's estimation of the QB position. He loves Matt Ryan, so Falcons #1. Pretty clear he doesn't like Jay, so the Bears are the worst job. There's a bunch of other stuff in there, but a lot of it is just noise. Kind of a lazy article.

    We might be able to offer a cautionary tale to the Bengals. The next guy down the line isn't always an improvement. That said, with our organization already a smoldering ruin, I'd prefer to aim higher than Lewis.
