  1. What if they win, though? Seattle is a very winnable game. They aren't going to fire Nagy after a win, unless they fully admit that they told him he was out this week beforehand, and that's still a sore spot with this organization. This org is so backwards. The Kusinski logic above is the only reason I'm not pissed about it happening. But even that is such backwards logic. This brings me back to last year when there was a lot of talk about people wanting a full clean sweep from Phillips down. And I made the point then, if that was the goal, the best thing was actually to do President only last year. Then they could evaluate a full offseason and season of Pace and Nagy and then be in a position to be in the building, prepared for a new GM/HC search after that. Here we are with weeks to go until the end of the season and the org still contemplating a major org shift? But unlike last year there's basically no chance they can lame duck the HC/GM situation either. So now I am actually pissed, but for much more nuanced reasons. So they wind up with new leadership but kneecapped because others will have swooped in ahead of them to acquire the best people.
  2. I mean holy god he’s laughing after trying to end Field’s career?
  3. Will it though? There’s a reason the Bears have been mostly terrible since the early 90s I honestly don’t know. I don’t know how it could be more clear than right now.
  4. If the McCaskeys weren’t thinking of a total housecleaning hopefully this disgrace will make it clear to them. Everyone must go from execs to FO to position coaches.
  5. I'm not making any judgements on Fields until I see him with a new coach and scheme.
  6. Go for 2 or not, the play calls on these things is what kills teams. You cut off half the field, and like you said, the first read for a rolling QB is the only WR that is in his current line of sight. If you have a mobile QB, you want to give them the option to run. On the goal line, the best way to do that is to spread the defense out. You can give him 1 read and then let him go, and then if something pops open he can throw it once you get the defense moving. But the way that play was designed, he would have had to either stop or completely flip his head to the middle, which allows the pass rush to potentially get there. Yeah, I don't get that play call either. It's the whole game on one play, didn't look they were even entertaining giving Huntley an option. Plus it wasn't a good throw, but still.
  7. You're being incoherent. *shrug* don't know what you're not following The calculus of the Ravens there must have been based on Rodgers. You make that decision when you aren’t confident that you can stop the opposing QB. So they feared Rodgers and thought, 40 seconds, we can probably keep Rodgers from the FG. If it’s any “normal” team I’d agree it was weird. But here, I liked the decision.
  8. Why doesn’t everyone just do to Brady what the Saints are doing? They morphed him into Foles.
  9. Gutsy call by Baltimore. Unfortunately didn’t work.
  10. 17 on the COVID list including all 3 coordinators? I’m sure the Vikings will enjoy their free win.
  11. Heck, Huntley could start for several other teams and be a solid upgrade.
  12. There’s clearly two sets of rules.
  13. Where’s the percentage of [expletive] calls? Rodgers tops that list.
  14. There were several plays sunday night where the GB defender took 2-3 steps as Fields was releasing the ball and still hit/tackled him. I'm used to it by now, but it seems like the refs let opposing D's tee off on him I guess in the NFL you have to survive long enough as a QB to start getting the calls. Until then, the risk of a career-limiting injury is way higher. That's how it seems anyway.
  15. Yeah, I think Rodgers will be given a longer term deal like he wants. And Love will never be the starter. Not sure how that will work out for Love. He didn’t have a chance to show anything but the one time he started he was horsefeathers. He might wind up really hating the Packers for drafting him in the first place.
  16. He wasn't great, but I also feel like the game plan did him no favors. It was again a lot of timing routes, very little designed plays to get him out of the pocket, almost no shots downfield (also a result of poor blocking). I would have liked to have seen more from Fields this year, did not expect him to be bottom 5 in many QB statistics, but at this point I refuse to take anything definitive away from this season due to issues beyond Fields' control. I only hope that he understands the dynamic here - that this is a coaching staff about to be fired, and it's really next year and beyond, under a new staff and scheme, that matters. If he's going to be successful here, he's got to have that perspective and not let this bother him too much. Just take whatever on-the-field experience he can and move on to 2022.
  17. If the Bears had a winning record I'll bet there wouldn't be nearly that much criticism, and people would have your line of thinking. I'm chalking it up to people being PO'd in general so everything becomes a massive failure right away.
  18. They played a great 30 minutes and Nagy had a lot of fun. Woooo
  19. Dillon is really good. I’ve been watching do that to everyone.
  20. That was wild, more entertaining football than I’ve seen from this group in a long time. The only thing missing is a big turnover.
  21. All they wanted to do was make sure there were no deep free running packers receivers. But you knew there would be anyway.
  22. LOL hilarious and cool too
  23. Yeah that’s not even close. Covered 6 ways to Sunday. If he can’t see that it’s concerning. Yes he’s coming off a multi-week injury, ribs are still tender and his coaches suck but that was not a throw NFL caliber QBs make very often. We’re starting to see some improvement circa Pittsburgh game but it was just a flash. We need to see these flashes come more consistently over the last several games I think you & I should just say bad things about Fields all night, LOL
  24. That’s better!
  25. If it looks easy, it's not in the NFL. He thought that was pitch and catch, long delivery and didn't put enough juice on the ball. Nah there was zero chance that would ever be completed. It’s either incomplete or a pick.
