Griese isn't any better. He can't possibly be worse than Grossman. Rex doesn't do anything well. Sure he can, his strengths aren't the Bears need. He's a good back-up/bad starter, people forget that this is Rex's 1st season. I'm not sold on him, but I'm willing to give him next year. You're right, not only because of what you say but also just because of the practicalities of NFL football. The Bears are in no position -- no way, no how -- to start dealing for a QB. They've got to find a way to resign Lance Briggs or the window closes *immediately*. Then they've got other defensive contracts coming due. The money's going to get tight. They need to resign Grossman for medium dollars, using his poor performances as leverage, and try to coach him up. There is no other way forward.
