    Look at the bright side Bear fans. At least you don't have to shell out for another set of Bears gear.

    Most of the media and Bears fans are morons, so I doubt they'll look at it objectively. He had a bad game, he's had several of them and several great games, enough glimpses of great games to merit seeing what he can do with more experience. He played terribly in the Super Bowl after whining about being criticized. Believe this like you believe in life itself: Rex is about to be crucified to all hell.

    Yeah, clearly the biggest problems for the Bears are QB and secondary, though they have dealt with Harrison and Wayne well tonight. They had to kill themselves with the short passing game to get it though. I'm not satisfied with having to play 10 yards off receivers and instituting a "bend but don't break" philosophy----which is really just another way of saying "we can't stop you so please make a mistake".

    They whipped the Bears in every aspect except special teams. Still upsets me off though. :x I'm really upset too. But. Gotta suck it up and admit they were better and they just beat us.

    Griese isn't any better. He can't possibly be worse than Grossman. Rex doesn't do anything well. Sure he can, his strengths aren't the Bears need. He's a good back-up/bad starter, people forget that this is Rex's 1st season. I'm not sold on him, but I'm willing to give him next year. You're right, not only because of what you say but also just because of the practicalities of NFL football. The Bears are in no position -- no way, no how -- to start dealing for a QB. They've got to find a way to resign Lance Briggs or the window closes *immediately*. Then they've got other defensive contracts coming due. The money's going to get tight. They need to resign Grossman for medium dollars, using his poor performances as leverage, and try to coach him up. There is no other way forward.

    Seriously, he had no business throwing that. He had Moose with the clear inside track, though. The throw was terrible, yet Moose has no excuse for not knocking it down. Just zip it to him then. WTF with the loopy desperation lob? That was mind-bogglingly dumb.
