  1. And here come the officials to rescue the Heat. LOL, hilarious. Can see it coming a mile away.
  2. See? Damn, why is it so predictable?
  3. Here we go. The Heat will now go on a run and pull within 5, Albert screaming the whole way "Heat within 5! Seems to be the "NBA script." One team jumps out, then it sets up the big comeback.
  4. I think there's a very good chance that even the youngest here will never witness a Cub WS.
  5. Not that it matters. Their bullpen can easily blank our pathetic offense for scads of innings.
  6. Bulls lead by 14 at the end of 3. They better not pull a Cubs.
  7. LOLOL. Infreakingcredible. Why do we waste our time with this?
  8. Stickin' with it, eh? Well good for you. 8-)
  9. In the twilight world of Cub suckage, everyone's psychic.
  10. I'm flippin' back and forth. Good Bulls, bad Cubs. Good Bulls, bad Cubs. I feel like a piece of taffy stretched to the breaking point :D
  11. I'll admit we suck a lot We do suck. Because we're cursed.
  12. For real. I'll bet every person on this thread knew how that would go. The suckage has become predictable.
  13. Hahaha, it never ends. Come on, admit it. We are cursed.
  14. Pwahahahahaah another RBI taken off Soriano's stat line. Ahhhhh, it's just so Cubs. Now watch us not score. At all.
  15. Watch us waste a rare Izzy hit. Thank you. Thank you. I'll be here all year. You may wish to find a more worthwhile use of your time somewhere starting in May. This season is tankin' quick.
  16. Now we find out the real deal. Because make no mistake, the Bulls must beat the Heat and the refs tonight. Too much whining coming from Miami and the national press. Refs will be calling everything the Heat's way.
  17. Had multiple hall of famers on the same roster, yet never made the playoffs once. Abandoned the team in 1969 for God-knows-what reason. He was terrible. Probably one of the worst ever.
  18. Ignoring a talk show host is one thing. Ignoring a 7-12 start, last in a terrible division? Much different, indeed.
  19. If Soriano is really an adequate CF then by all means Pie should be traded while his value is high. LF is an easy position to fill and Soriano's offense is far more valuable coming from CF. People who say positions are unimportant don't understand the economics involved. How valuable would Pujols be if he played CF? Certainly more valuable than at 1B or LF. So trading away a cheap internal solution for CF is the best way to manage payroll? Soriano is already on the team. We're going to have to pay him. Trading away Pie, puting Soriano at CF, and finding an outside option for the coner outfield isn't going to save the Cubs any money. The moment Jones starts to hit a little I would try like hell to move him. I don't care what anyone says, Jones is the guy who should be moved. He's always been the guy who should be moved. Heck, he himself wanted to be moved anyway.
  20. That #4 pick could be very, very interesting. Trouble is, Angelo has already alluded to the idea that getting a high 1st rounder might cost more in salary than the team is planning on, given they still will need to sign a few high-profile guys soon. I'm not sure the #6 pick is worth the money but the #4 pick, Joe Thomas, would be worth the money. Oh yeah. God would I love to add him to the roster.
  21. At the #1 pick, I'd take the best player available, and that means Johnson. I just don't see the QBs in this draft as worthy of the #1 pick status. But, it's the Raiders. They'll probably pick Russell, fail to coach him properly, and he'll wash out. One thing people need to remember about QBs is that more than any other position a QB must be coached and groomed properly once he gets on an NFL roster. Plenty of teams have drafted top prospect QBs, but because they can't coach 'em, they wind up washing out. A guy like Johnson has the WR skills to overcome almost any amount of bad coaching, and his position doesn't really require the same amount of grooming that a QB does. For a team like Oakland, I wouldn't draft a QB #1 unless it was Peyton Manning--an obvious superstud, capable of succeeding no matter how badly the coaches bungle things.
