  1. Ohman with the comedy :) Sori with the ultra-quick out.
  2. Crap, this is all with 2 outs. Come on, GET OUT OF IT.
  3. That whole board is great. Look at the forum names
  4. I'll take that same score today. Maybe if we all pray
  5. Yes. Big trouble. I'm just hoping the the Phils win the next two games. So at worst we are only 1 game back. I hope so. I fear coming out of this weekend 3 back and looking like we've given the Crew our best shot.
  6. That's freaking great. I read the first post and was laughing. Then I glanced over at the guy's screen name and lost it.
  7. I think we're in trouble this weekend.
  8. Yeah, the Giants definitely don't give Bonds much help these days, that's for sure.
  9. ... with 15 walks. So he's been on base 21 out of his last 48 plate appearances. Sure does look a lot nicer when you include that, doesn't it? Yes, it definitely does. Look at his last 14 days: .182 .426 .303 Hitting .182 but with a .426 OBP is pretty amusing.
  10. This is the first time I have seen Yost being cast in a poor light. I've always thought Yost was much better than the recent managers the Crew has had. I also haven't heard Milwuakee/Madison media being real critical of Yost, even in previous years when the Crew weren't in first place. If he had lost the team, then they were doing a good job of hiding it, IMO.
  11. I'm also concerned about having 2 starting safetys who are known more for their hard hitting than their pass coverage. I do think it's important to remember that even in 'full contact' drills, the defense won't usually lay the kind of wood you'll see in games.
  12. i sure would hate to have that .272/.490/.551 line on my team yeah, cuz dropping to that from .362/.609/.812 indicates he's still putting out at peak capacity.
  13. The title of this thread is ridiculous.
  14. Cole Hamels pitches tomorrow! If he sucks after the smackdown he put on us, I give up.
  15. I'm feeling it also. Certainly looks that way, I have to agree.
  16. Oh my God paper cut in the eye!! You just freaked me out! *willies* :o
  17. Agreed. I want some power, dammit. I don't want power, I just want to help. I know the amount of work it takes to keep these boards great. I also know how many hours a week I spend at NSBB. I'm also the admin on one message board and a moderator on another. That's scary. J/K I couldn't resist ;)
  18. Here's hoping he's Shockey, but with a focused mind. There's no telling how good Shockey could have been if he was sane.
  19. Crew gets in a big fight, finally start showing some emotion, and then the young kid pitcher comes out and mows down one of the best offenses in the NL. Smells like a Crew hot streak comin' on.
  20. He couldn't hit 'em in his own park recently, either. He's a shell of his former self.
  21. So they didn't know he was coming before? I don't get it. Ha. Benson got the ball about 80% of the time when he was in the game. The Bears rarely used him on passing downs last year. If anything, they knew when he was coming more last year than they will as an every down back. I love when a major sports outlet declares a player a bust. You would expect there to be a very solid, well-reasoned factor that would be used as a basis for this argument. One would *think*, being CNNsi after all, that some overriding characteristic had been uncovered, something that CNNsi, with all its power and glory in the news business, would have been able to find. But then you get "defenses will know he's coming" WTF? I've heard drunken barflys make a better argument than that. How stupid. Why would I ever trust anything CNNsi has to say about anything when they give me this drivel?
  22. i think manning has more potential than harris, and if he's not relied upon as a starter, he will provide them with much more value. i think manning could be a very good nickel back. And I think the Bears did it right, too. Early in training camp, you trade a guy and he has time to catch on with his new team before the season starts. If it's done real late he probably has to sit while he learns a new system. I like the idea of Walker for Harris, it's basically trading from a position of strength & depth to acquire a real good piece at a position where we were thin. Took 2 trades to get it done, but the result is the same.
