    They have 13 pitchers right now so Parra will likely pitch for 4 innings or so, he's a good hitter so he can hit for himself. You win the prize sir, Parra warming up right now.

    Nope, he just made the change. BTW, the 10th looks like a throwaway inning for the Phils since they have no bench left (Manuel used it making the comeback). Myers up now. So they'll need to get through the next inning to have any real shot.

    But is that the result of them playing better or a result of luck? Certainly the pitching staff, or 12 of the 25 players on the team, didn't do anything special in June. And heck, even though they did much better at the plate than they did in April, and the runs per game average from those two months are pretty close. The Cubs were probably as fortunate to win like they did in June as they were unfortunate to lose as many as they did early on. Could be luck. It's one of those things that is impossible to say one way or the other. Cubs' pythag was predicting we would pull it up long before the tirade, but on the other hand the whole "find a way to lose" vs. "find a way to win" thing. What is that - ? Mentality? I was about to say the Crew are 3-0 since their "tirade", but not quite yet.....they just gave up 5 in the 9th, blew an easy save opp.

    Schroeder just said Cordero got 2 quick outs (no doubt Coste & Ruiz) and then just couldn't put the Phils away. Cool beans!

    Only thing I know is that Schroeder just said Cordero gave up the final 3 runs with 2 outs!

    Wow, I wrote this one off hours ago. Come on PHILLIES 8-) Good to see Cordero blow up at home with 2 outs too!! Here's hoping he just collapses competely now!

    Hopefully 'eventually' means next year.

    Yeah, I think Kendall's still off his career hitting numbers. It's definitely an indictment of our other catchers. Still, I'll take any hitting I can get from the catching position at this point. I only hope his defense doesn't really kill us at some point.

    Yea because fighting and cursing each other out is a blast, and civilized discussions suck. If you like that type of thing I hear there is a board at http://www.cubs.com you might like I can do both, and switch between the two on the fly. FWIW, I don't think the suggestion was made that we would have a place where people can personally attack each other, just a place where R-Rated language would be O.K.

Adults-only game threads, I might shell out for that. if Tim made an adult-only section available for Premium subscribers I bet a ton more people would sign up Oh yeah, but I somehow think Tim wouldn't go for it. I'd love it though.

    I thought Manuel left Hamels in way, way too long. He let him implode with several batters, it was plenty clear he was done much earlier in the inning.
