  1. Yeah Ohio State isn’t going down without a fight.
  2. This time next year the Bears need to at least be a bubble team or it’s a catastrophe. There’s been so much put into the tank basket. That’s fine but it can’t be a long trajectory up. It has to turn around fast. Also, let’s face it Poles was gifted a solid QB. Few GMs get that coming in.

    NFL Week 16

It's crazy how stacked that 2011 draft class was. Watt was probably the most dominant defensive player in football for a good 4 year stretch before the injuries, but there's a good chance he may have the fifth most sacks in that draft class if he retires early and Quinn plays few more years. Watt would probably be top 10 all time if he wasn't injured for a good portion of his prime. 1. Von Miller (drafted 2nd overall) - 123.5 sacks 2. Cameron Jordan (24th overall) - 112.5 sacks 3. J.J. Watt (11th overall) - 111.5 sacks 4. Justin Houston (70th overall) - 111.0 sacks 5. Robert Quinn (14th overall) - 102.0 sacks Also up there on the leaderboards is Chandler Jones at 112 sacks drafted a year later. Still can't believe McClellin was drafted over Jones. Possibly could have changed that 2012 season. I would have liked him anyway, but the fact that JJ's a Badger and I got to see him develop, go into the NFL and make a huge impact is a source of pride. He was wearing a Badgers shirt in an episode of hard knocks too. I know it's kind of dumb but I can't help it. Love the guy.
  4. If those odds aren't taking into account the state of the teams they are playing, then what use are they?

    NFL Week 16

Nick Foles is playing football again with predictable results.
  6. I've always been team "let him get reps" but if they are going to gameplan and playcall and have the personnel that they did Saturday, there's no reason to play him in that mess. If Claypool is a go, I do see the value in getting reps with him and Velus (they should get a ton of targets each). But if no Claypool, there's not much to gain by him playing. Having this lack of talent hurts him more than helps him. What habit is he going to develop beyond throwing into every tight window every pass since no WR can separate? It’s like a hitter warming up with weights on the bat. When he steps to the plate for real it should be easy peasy.
  7. LOL. I was under the impression he was good since other teams wanted him. He’s got one more win than Eberflus.

What a fleecing on the Wilson trade. Seattle salivating at every Broncos loss.
  10. I wouldn't mind it. I'm just not sure if the Bears will do it or not. I didn't really expect Poles to sell off MLB-style early in the season either. He pretty much broadcast that he's tanking, so sitting Fields seems to be is in line with that. Wouldn't they have sit Fields Saturday though? The put him out there yet obviously protected him. It's 50/50 for me. I wouldn't be surprised either way. If it was me I'd shut him down, but it's not me.

Bah looks like AZ stays in the tank hunt, barring a TB flub

He's not terribly accurate, mobile, or great arm strength. He's an avg QB with great WRs. I was going to say that. The Dolphins did a great job assembling pieces around him but he’s not particularly special. Today was a huge moment for them and he laid a huge turd.

Packers just win in December. I think they’ll win out. This weekend was extraordinary for them. All the pieces fell their way.

    Raiders are the anti-Vikings.
  15. Yeah no can do. The idea of watching the Packers lose on Christmas is too enticing.

Has there ever been a more vulnerable 12-3 team. 11-0 in one score games and basically even point differential. They can’t just continue to pull a rabbit out of the hat can they?

    horsefeathering Vikings man.
  18. Well they were in it for awhile like they seem to be most weeks.
  19. I guess you don’t want to look like you know you can’t win so Fields stays in. But you know you can’t win so Fields stays in safe zone.
  20. I'm terrified hes going to blow an acl in one of these meaningless games, its why i shut the game off yesterday after his leg cramp, thinking he had something worse The scars from Rose will never completely heal.
  21. Eagles are good but not great. But it's difficult to know for sure because they aren't tested that often due to the weak NFC. If I was laying money I'd put it on them to come out of the NFC but not because I think they're awesome. Agreed they can be had in the playoffs.
  22. I didn’t see a subpar QB today. I saw a QB almost nothing to work with and still making plays. Probably a good reason that football stats aren’t as meaningful as baseball stats.
  23. Is he hurt? If not he’s got to go. Nope, he tested the wind and signaled that he couldn't make it. Dude misses XP’s regularly. Time to move on.
