  1. The D should be fine, the problem is going to be getting a productive offense going. If not, things could devolve quickly.
  2. I like what the offensive players are capable of doing. There's a lot of risk there, though, with Britt and Cook. well, i really like my team so we're even Glad to hear it.
  3. Short arms for one. He's also kind of in that tweener range, being 6'2. Coples can play in a 3-4 or 4-3, Ingram is relegated to 3-4 only with the possibility of being a 4-3 OLB.
  4. Whether it affects them on the field or not, there has been a huge amount of drama in the offseason and adding Tebow, while it could be smart if he's used right, will simply add to that. Also, Mark Sanchez simply isn't very good and anytime your QB is bad, it's hard to hold the team together.
  5. I like what the offensive players are capable of doing. There's a lot of risk there, though, with Britt and Cook.
  6. I think he could fit a 4-3 OLB spot, but yeah I think he fits a 3-4 better. Again, though, that tweener type player has succeeded in the Tampa 2 in the past so I wouldn't completely discount his chances.
  7. Yeah, those are 3 very big red flags to me for any player. I've said before I like McClellin, but not nearly this high.
  8. It's that mentality that kind of concerns me. If he's going to shut down somewhat for an entire season in college, he may well do the same in the pros if a team starts out slowly. It's not enough of a concern to pass on him and he was still a terrific pick by the Jets, but there's some concern there. UNC was definitely a mess throughout his career and that has to be taken into consideration. Honestly, though, the Jets are more than a little bit of a mess themselves too. How long is Rex going to be able to hold this thing together? I like Zach Brown too. Not a big fan of a LB on day 2 for the Titans, but I wouldn't complain if he were our pick.
  9. McClellin was eventually rated a 1st round pick, but he shot up the board very late in the process and it was largely due to off the field workouts. I have no vested interest either way in the pick, but I think it was a pretty big reach for a 4-3 defense that he'll have some trouble fitting into. It is a Tampa 2 defense, so it's not all that crazy to think he could be productive at DE (Freeney is only 6'1 after all), but I do question his ability to excel at end in the NFL.
  10. The motivation thing could be bogus, but there was a statistical drop from his junior to senior season. Whether that was a motor issue or whether he was just getting more attention and struggling to fight through it is the question. That said, his stats his senior year were still really good, hence why I really like the pick. He has immense upside.
  11. Just hope you can keep him motivated.
  12. Guys I'm hoping the Titans look at in rounds 2 and 3: Cordy Glenn: No chance he falls to us, but he'd be an incredible value if he did. Would immediately boost the running game. Peter Konz: Again, no chance he falls to us but he'd be a major coup if he did. Amini Silatolu: Probably my favorite offensive lineman in the draft. Very raw, but has the tools to become really good on the interior of the line. Ben Jones: Pure center prospect who doesn't seem to have the upside that others present, but would be an upgrade over Amano and is a true center. Janoris Jenkins: I may be his biggest fan on this board. Jenkins has incredible natural ability, but his apparent tendency to smoke lots of pot probably make him a player the Titans will stay away from. Offensive line, defensive line, defensive backfield should be the focus tonight.
  13. Yeah, heard on Mike and Mike this morning that the Browns are saying they were planning to take Kendall Wright until the Titans took him and then, after that, they decided on Weeden. There's no way the Browns simply changed course in about a 10 minute period and decided to completely alter their football team. And if they did, it was an even dumber night for them than I thought originally.
  14. So...you know nothing and are just spitballing streams of concsiousness again? I do know that he was projected to be a 3rd or 4th round pick by pro football weekley. He's been flying up draft boards like crazy recently. This is less a Hayden Simpson situation and more of a workout warrior type situation - it's been his offseason drills that have really boosted his stock. I thought it was a big overreach, but somebody was going to make it.
  15. Initial reactions: Best pick: Dallas, Mo Claiborne Worst pick: San Fran, AJ Jenkins Luckiest team: Pittsburgh, David DeCastro Luckiest player: Jake Locker - Britt/Wright/Cook/Williams/CJ/Washington is drool worthy Really didn't like Cleveland's night. Giving up a 4th/5th/7th for a guy you're almost certainly going to get anyway and if you don't then you get an elite receiver (more valuable anyway) and then drafting a 29 year old QB.
  16. I thought McClellin would end up being the biggest overdraft of the night. Then Harbaugh took a 3rd/4th round talent in the first and in front of Stephen Hill. That's a massive reach (sorry sulley).
  17. Wow, hadn't heard that. I like everything about Wilson except his height. 3rd/4th range isn't too high, I don't think, but I didn't figure any teams would actually go that high for him.
  18. Later rounds - 5th-7th I believe. He's really short.
  19. Hard to complain about the Kendall Wright pick after just about everybody I really wanted was off the board by the time the Titans' pick came up. With Wright, Britt, Cook, CJ and Damian Williams, this Titans offense has a chance to be pretty dynamic. Now for Silatolu, Glenn, or Ben Jones to fall to our 2nd round pick and I'll be pretty happy. Or just take the risk with Janoris Jenkins in the second round.
  20. Kiper's latest has Chandler Jones. McShay's latest had Coples (now hightower). They've been all over. Huh, I was watching the scrolling bar on Mike and Mike this morning and it was running through their 1st round mocks.
  21. Kiper has (I think) Mercilus going to the Bears. McShay has the Bears drafting Dont'a Hightower.
  22. Not that it's been particularly entertaining recently, but this is still big news I think:
  23. I envy the Pats.
  24. That's my feeling as well. If you were confident enough in his sustained ability in the offseason, you shouldn't feel any differently right now.
  25. It's ESPN. That won't stop them from running it into the ground some more.
