  1. Nyjer Morgan HBP...Marmol looking shaky right now. Luis Rivas pinch hitting.
  2. Ward smoked a pitch down the first base line, LaRoche made a great diving catch and then Osoria dropped his throw to retire Ward. It should have been an extremely easy catch for Osoria, it was a perfect throw.
  3. Ward smoked it down the line and LaDouche made a great dig behind first. He threw it to Osario covering the bag and he just dropped the ball. Aramis scored and Soto went to third. Beat you by a few seconds. :D But you had more info.

  5. Is it wrong that I giggled at this? If giggling at that is wrong, I don't want to be right...
  6. I have to think he's at least earning consideration right now. Lou's proven if you hit, you'll play...hopefully he sticks to that with Ronny - and hopefully Ronny continues hitting.
  7. The wind has knocked down a few hard hit balls tonight. I've only been able to watch the past couple innings, so I didn't know about the wind. Woo-hoo Ward! There's some insurance!
  8. Not surprisingly, Marmol is up in the pen. Good eye Soto! He walks to put runners on 1st and 2nd.
  9. Gosh, tough luck out for DeRosa there. A couple more feet and that balls gone.
  10. I didn't think he could top his last start. I'll admit I had very high doubts about Demp in the rotation (wasn't the only one at least), but I'm extremely impressed with his two outings so far. Still holding my breath for the possible (probable?) implosion.
  11. I'm not too disgusted we can't score much off of Duke...he's a pretty good pitcher. And the reason he's pretty good is that he can minimize the damage. I'm hoping for another run or two and then turn it over to Marmol and Woody. Not to mention, for some reason, he has always had the Cubs number. True, I could think of a lot of other pitchers I would feel worse about dominating us, though. Seeing as how there are plenty of them, I'll save my vitriol for them. :D
  12. Riot....... :D Or if you don't want to do that you could try calling them and asking what the crap's going on. once the kids go to bed, i'm going to go through and see which games are/aren't on and then make a phone call I've only ever had the Reds games blacked out - despite living in east Tennessee. I've never had an issue of others being blacked out, so I don't know much else to do.

  15. I can handle the Giants too.
  16. I understand we're "playing the percentages" here, but how the hell is Pie supposed to learn to hit lefties if he never faces them? Seems pretty counter-intuitive to me. He's never hit them in his career, so the likelihood is he'll never learn to hit them. Now the most unlikely situation could occur and he could still learn to hit them, but is it worth basically giving up these at-bats in the longshot hope it does? Also, he's a very young player just now adjusting to major league pitching. Is it that bad an idea to make things as easy for him as possible? I always thought a manager's job was to put his players in the best position to succeed now - playing him against opponents he's most likely to do well against seems to go right along with that line of thinking.
  17. Seems to be that way, unless his wrist still hurts from being hit by a pitch. He did get in the game for defensive purposes yesterday though, so who knows. Kind of ridiculous that they didn't even give him a week into the season before they benched him if he has in fact been benched. Supposedly his hand was still hurting him. Supposedly. He actually has a bruised wrist. The main reason he's on the bench today, though, is that we're facing a lefty - the #1 reason Reed Johnson is on this team to begin with.
  18. I'm not a big Cedeno fan, but I hope he does well today too. I'd love to be proven wrong that he's very unlikely an upgrade over Theriot.
  19. Love Len and Bob making fun of the shirtless dude.
  20. well he may not have to bat and his wrist is probably fine to play defense I know I was being facetious(I have no clue how to spell that word) Sorry, didn't realize that. Yea no problem, kinda hard to tell. At least you spelled facetious right. :D

  22. Over the course of 3-4 at bats and 9 innings in the field? Yea, probably. He'll likely bat no more than once today, big difference.
  23. Be careful on that tree you just walked out on. :D beat you by a little bit Very true my friend.
