  1. I like Hardy's natural abilities more than Sweed's. Along with being 2 inches (roughly) taller, he's got a slightly better vertical than Sweed. Also, Hardy's 40 time was actually slightly better than Sweed's. Also - and I don't think this can be overlooked - he was basically Indiana's only offensive threat (save QB Kellen Lewis), therefore he's shown he can be the only weapon and still perform at a very high level. This situation is far more comparable to what he'll face in Tennessee than anything Sweed or Kelly have dealt with. I don't think Hardy plays as fast as Sweed, of course, I haven't seen Sweed play in 2 years. That's possible, but having seen both play fairly often I don't think either is significantly faster than the other. The nearly identical 40 times just back up my belief. Development will be key for him, but I'm confident Heimerdinger can get the most out of him. Most of our receivers had their best years under him (Ben Troupe and Justin McCareins for example). This is true, except the situation will be somewhat similar with the Titans. They do have other options, but nothing truly special. Crumpler will get some balls, Brandon Jones if healthy will get some and if Justin Gage gets healthy he'll get some. Besides that, there's not much in the way of Titan offense. That being the case, I like Hardy's ability to shine when no one else is contributing much.

  3. I did and Raisin said he was going to. Hopefully he takes his pick.
  4. Golf clap. I chuckled. I know, because Chicago hates black people like Michael Jordan, Ferguson Jenkins, Ernie Banks, Andre Dawson, Walter Peyton, Sammy Sosa (in the heyday), Billy Williams, Bill Clinton, and Ced Landrum. :?: :-k He's often referred to as the "first black president." Bad joke by Abe.
  5. We did not last year because it would be very confusing and time-consuming. Thus, I'm assuming we're not this year.
  6. I agree to an extent PriorPower. WR is definitely a top need, but DE is just about as close. Vanden Bosch is fine on one side, but I'd like to see somebody to split time with Kearse - and to keep him healthy. Seeing, though, as the best DEs in the draft are now gone, WR it is. Limas Sweed is a favorite to be drafted, as is Malcolm Kelly from Oklahoma. With the 24th pick in the NFL draft, though, the Titans select: Wide receiver, from Indiana University, James Hardy. Hardy is the biggest receiver in the draft - something Vince needs badly, a big target to throw to - and runs similarly well to Sweed. Sweed has the Texas roots that would give him a leg up in the Titans eyes (familiarity with Vince), but I see Hardy as having more raw potential than Sweed and being as solid a playmaker. mhuber92211 and the Seahawks are now on the clock. EDIT: And PriorPower, you're more than welcome into the Titan war room, my friend. I've got a good idea of the Titans' needs, but will take any advice I can get.
  7. don't forget WR!!! Why don't you quit making fun of Matt Millen and make your pick, eh?
  8. I might have gone with Cason or Leodis McKelvin, but the Saints definitely need secondary help and Rodgers-Cromartie is certainly a good corner. Good pick, OMC.
  9. Thankfully no. We'll get Chippy and Buck Martinez.
  10. Yes, I'm pretty sure that's correct. Also, if I read soccer's post right, I believe the Raiders took McFadden - though he would prefer Clady or Gholston. I thought this was based on who you would select. I'm not 100% sure on that. Last year it was who we thought the team would pick, not necessarily who we wanted. I can go either way, though.

  12. Jake Long went first and then Chris Long. Thus you're pick would be Glenn Dorsey. Sound good? EDIT: If so, then soccer10k and his Raiders are on the clock.
  13. sorry, didn't see that you had claimed them before dew volunteered to take them. dew, would you want washington? that would cover us as far as teams go, unless i'm missing a team that doesn't have a first round pick. That's cool with me. I can handle Washington without a problem. we'll give handlebar mcskullet the washington duties... plus washington is close to tennessee and we don't want any funny business  Bah, my plans for draft domination have been foiled... That's cool, I'm not sure how I missed Handlebar's post since it was before mine. That's what I get for posting at work I guess.

  15. Anybody PM Golden Thunder about the Falcons pick? EDIT: Never mind, I went ahead and PM'd him.
  16. No you won't, you already have a team and I'm not sharing. My bad Goony, I didn't notice your post.
