  1. Jeff Darlington just reported that the Titans and Bears are in talks and Jay Cutler "is on the table." He won't be enough to get it done, Darlington said, but discussions are ongoing.
  2. That's good - I like Coates a lot but wasn't sure if the Ravens would take him.
  3. I'll go ahead and make the Ravens' pick. Baltimore just lost Torrey Smith and weren't exactly strong at WR before that. So, they take the best WR on the board at this point since the corners and TEs aren't considerably better. Ravens select Sammie Coates, WR, Auburn
  4. I wouldn't say desperately, but they definitely would prefer to trade the pick. And for good reason - Mariota is a very good prospect, but picks 12, 19 and 43 are better. Local reports are that they weren't sold on Mariota's fit early in the process, but they're sold on him now.
  5. So apparently there's either a bunch of smoke with no fire or I blew the 2nd pick. Sounding pretty strong now that Mariota will be the Titans' pick.
  6. Rumors are starting to spring up that the Titans are interested in Mariota.
  7. Vanilla Ice passed his pick along to me: Saints select Denzel Perryman, LB, Miami
  8. mul told me to go ahead and make the pick here. It's really tempting to go with Sammie Coates - big, fast, very raw, very athletic WR with a lot of boom/bust potential is right up Fisher's alley. He's a defensive guy though and there's a player he's rumored to like sitting on the board. When in doubt, go defense with Jeff Fisher. Rams select Benardrick McKinney, LB, Mississippi State
  9. what happened with this guy? he was mocked early teens forever and now he's a 2nd rounder I've seen him recently mocked in the first still, but not often. My only guess is his size, but he's a 4-3 OLB with speed and, in those cases, size is usually forgiven. No character issues either (in fact, isn't he the exact opposite of a character concern?). So basically, I don't know why he's dropping. Because he has no position in the NFL. He'd be fine as a 4-3 OLB in the NFL. A little small, but speed is more important for 4-3 than size anyway, typically.

  11. Not sure if he fits Gus Bradley's defense, but Jacksonville has a need here and this guy is the best player at the position. Plenty of mocks have him as a potential first round guy and this is just too early for a RB, even if you're best RB is either Gerhart or Denard Robinson. Jacksonville selects Shaq Thompson, LB, Washington
  12. PJ Williams (Fla St) Quinten Rollins (Miami OH) Byron Jones (UConn) Are probably the best guys available here.
  13. How about one of the top remaining OTs on the board for Tampa (one of their biggest needs)? Either Jake Fisher of Oregon (who I think is a first rounder) or Cedric Ogbuehi of Texas A&M (who apparently might not make it out of the first round despite his injury). I took Ogbuehi for the Titans, so Fisher it is.
  14. Sorry, didn't know it was my pick. Ah, sorry. Somebody updated it after the previous pick and I figured they PMd you.
  15. Moving along to round 2 so long as there's interest. This is a tough call for the Titans. Humphries would have been a good pick, but he's gone. Dorial Green-Beckham is tempting, but an awful big risk as well. There are other interesting WRs, but I feel like we can get similar talent later. Ultimately, I think need wins out and the Titans go for the best tackle left on the board so that Byron Stingily doesn't have to start. Titans select Cedric Ogbuehi, OT, Texas A&M
  16. I'll go ahead and make the pick for Raisin and move this along. While it's really tempting to go DGB here and potentially get an awesome value, the Pats really need to replace the departed Wilfork. With that in mind, they select Eddie Goldman, DT, Florida State
  17. The decision seems obvious here for the Colts, even though I was really hoping he'd fall to the Titans at the top of the 2nd. Indy needs to protect its future and the present-future combo for them is Andrew Luck. If Gurley or Gordon were available here maybe that's another option, but this guy can start from day one and is probably a steal this late. Colts select D.J. Humphries, OT, Florida.
  18. I'll go ahead and ask the question: 15 days until the draft, should we head on to a 2nd round after this? I'd like to see some interest before we commit to it.
  19. lol wut Probably just due diligence. Yea. I've not seen any indication he won't go number 1. Not that it necessarily means anything at all, but co-owner Darcie Glazer apparently "has reservations" about Winston's off the field antics. Doesn't mean they won't take him first, or that she's even arguing they shouldn't, but it's just enough smoke to get people talking when other rumors (like Jaws') pop up.
  20. Texans was my pick, but we can let this stand. Oops, sorry about that. Raw sent the PM before you made the pick for the Dolphins and it never occurred to me to check. At least it was the same guy you would have taken (or an acceptable replacement at least). Well, I think there's virtually no chance the Texans take a RB in the first round, but it's a mock draft. No reason to break up the rhythm. FWIW, per Walter Football, Gurley was the only 1st round prospect they have met with or interviewed (other than Winston). Both Walter mocks have them taking Gurley also. It was between him, Shane Ray, and Perriman as my pick. And they have shown interest in a lot of 2nd/3rd round WRs based on WF's list. Not that it matters now, but Ray went to the Falcons at 8.

No reason to break up the rhythm. Ok. Sorry about the confusion.
  22. I'm on the fence about these two RBs. Talent-wise, they're good enough to go where they went, but the demand for a RB is so low that it wouldn't surprise me if both go in the 2nd round. I tend to think one will go first round and the other will drop to the second.

  24. raw PM'd me his pick: Texans go back to the drawing board after Parker gets taken 2 picks before their selection. Texans have big needs at ILB and WR, but all are reaches at this point IMO. So with Arian Foster going into his age 29 season, oft injured, and $7Mil in savings if he's cut before 2016, the Houston Texans select Todd Gurley, RB, Georgia. raw is up again for the Chargers and he did not PM me this pick.
  25. It's time to move on, so I'll make the pick. Saints need a pass rusher pretty badly and there are two good ones on the board. With one having some character concerns and the other not and with both being rated pretty closely, the Saints go with . . . Alvin "Bud" Dupree, DE/OLB, Kentucky
