Didn't they have more or less the worst running game in the NFL last year? Running back is a fixable position without using a high pick on one. Had they been patient and taken a Jay Ajayi, Duke Johnson or Ameer Abdullah in the second or third round, they'd have been better off and probably have a pretty decent running game next year.

Got to think it's for Gordon. Was Houston that likely to take Gordon? Gordon is a good player, but RBs are on a really short clock. Don't like taking them in the first, really don't like trading up for them.

1st trade comes at #15 And San Diego gave up a 4th this year and 5th next year to move up 2 spots? Seems awful high to me.

Wow! I thought for sure this pick would be Andrus Peat. Fisher does love his athletic freaks, though, and Gurley is definitely that. Still don't like taking RBs in the first round, though.

For Flowers? I disagree. This is the earliest I thought he'd go, but this was a fine pick. Much better than the Pugh pick last year.

I think he'd have gone to the Giants had Redskins not taken him. He wasn't really a big reach, I don't think - he's just not as good as Williams.

Ok, the Redskins are nuts. Scherff is really good, sure, but this definitely is a shocker. Not sure the Jets take Williams, honestly.

Cooper's the right call. Polished with lots of upside. Carr has to be the happiest guy in Oakland right now.

Carr to Cooper is a potentially impressive connection. Leonard Williams is never a bad pick, though.

I'm very happy with Mariota. I like Mett, but Mariota is simply better and has some serious upside. Now we need a RT, WR and CB sometime tomorrow.
