  1. I like Pouncey a lot, though Iupati's right there with him in terms of interior linemen. Vanilla Ice and the Falcons are on the clock. I PMd him.
  2. I'd have gladly traded down with you for your second round pick.
  3. WrigleyField 22 and rawaction are on the clock for the Steelers' pick. I PMd them.
  4. The decision was between Joe Haden and Jason Pierre-Paul here. JPP is at a position of more need and is the super athletic type player the Titans like, but the value pick was simply too good to pass up at this point. Haden fell outside the top 10 (and top 15) and the Titans have to swoop him up here. In the real draft, I could see the Titans working a deal with the 49ers if they want Haden bad enough, but we're using the pick here on the best cornerback in the draft. So, the Titans select Joe Haden, CB, Florida.
  5. I don't know why you'd care who the Titans take here. It's not like the 49ers would want a cornerback who ran a 4.5 40 at the combine. Thought he ran a 4.6. He might have. I didn't put much stock in it.
  6. I'm waiting on input from the other half of the war room.

  8. Like I don't know what's coming... :D Actually, I haven't decided who I want yet. I've checked with PCP and am waiting on him to get back to me. Haden and Morgan are at the top of the list for me, though. Go with Morgan. Morgan's more of a need, but there should be DEs in the 3rd round who can be had (Greg Hardy, etc). There aren't many corners out there like Haden. I can definitely go for Morgan though, he'll be really good with a good d-line coach (which Washburn is).
  9. Alright, I couldn't remember how they were all acquired. I can't think of any major free agents who have worked out then. Which my point is.....when the Skins trade Albert maybe, just maybe, Snyder should put his pocket book away for awhile and start this thing call "building through the draft." I have an answer for your question RedFlash. Andre Carter signed as a free agent and has been productive. So basically throughout Snyder's tenure, he has signed the likes of Bruce Smith, Jeff George, Deion Sanders, Albert Haynesworth, Shawn Springs, that a player like Andre Carter ends up prolly the Skins best FA acquisition under Dan's watch. Purely on FA signings, yeah.

  11. Incredible value here for McClain. The Titans pick will be made shortly.
  12. jersey cubs fan and the Giants are on the clock. I PMd him.
  13. The Haynesworth rumors are swirling here. I'd be very interested in dealing a 3rd, a DT (likely Tony Brown) and another draft pick (maybe a 4th-5th this year, maybe a higher one next year) for Albert. From what I've heard, the Titans would only owe him basically a 3 yr/$16 mil contract if Washington paid his bonus.

  15. 10 of 12 picks different so far. CubbieBum and the 49ers are on the clock. I PMd him.
  16. Any thoughts on this pick?
  17. Alright, I couldn't remember how they were all acquired. I can't think of any major free agents who have worked out then. santana moss has been pretty good. Santana was traded to the Skins. For Coles.
  18. What constitutes "entering a draft"? Underage players have to declare, but I'm guessing any senior is just in it automatically. Like CCP said, I'm thinking they have to file paperwork to let NFL teams know they're a draftable prospect. I just kinda always assumed that, though, so I could be wrong.
  19. I don't think anyone is allowed to skip the draft. There have been people who didn't play college football who have been drafted and others who have signed as undrafted free agents. I don't know of anybody who's been able to come right off the street and sign as a free agent though. They could be out there, but I've never heard of it. What about the Eagles Invincible guy? He was already eligible for the draft and nobody took him, which should put him in the same situation as any undrafted free agent. If you enter the draft and are not selected, then you can sign with anybody. Samardzija, however, would be trying to enter the league without ever entering the draft. And if he entered the draft, he'd likely be selected somewhere. Ok, now after looking into it a bit more, I'm not sure if Papale entered the draft at any point.

I don't know of anybody who's been able to come right off the street and sign as a free agent though. They could be out there, but I've never heard of it. If players could skip the draft I'd think more would as a means to get a bidding war started. Or guys who expect to go in the later round might skip it in order to have more flexibility in who they sign with. I don't know for sure, though.
  21. ISUCubsFan and Warpticon are on the clock for the Dolphins' pick. I PMd them.
  22. Rolando McLain is a fantastic value at this point in the draft, but the Jags have a need larger than MLB. Jacksonville is a bit woeful in its secondary and the second best safety/corner prospect in the draft is the pick here. So, the Jaguars select Earl Thomas, S, Texas. Mark Prior's Calves and the Broncos are on the clock. I PMd him.

I do not disagree with you here.
