  1. I've gotten plenty of hits off a future ML'er back in HS. If I was to try today, not a chance, but I'd prob. be very late on the FB and way out in front on anyhting off-speed.

  3. Gallagher just has to get better command of the breaking ball, obviously there were plenty of swings and misses given the high Ks, but they were sitting on the FB, and they were able to hit it. 81% of his FBs were strikes while only 39% of the breaking stuff were strikes. He has to do a better job of pitching when behind in the count, only 20% that were up 2-0, 2-1, 3-0 ended up as outs.
  4. This is a good thing and hopefully a long-term thing. Sean has prob. accomplished everything he can at Iowa and has his arm strength up from a month of extended pitching at Iowa followed by the limited usage out of the pen. Now it's about facing ML hitters that have the combo of apporach and talent, rather than one or the other.
  5. Vance is too short to climb over the fence.
  6. You need Hellickson. The TB fans finally have something to get excited about, hopefully it'll start showing in the atten. stat which was only 13k today.
  7. what happened to boston, anaheim and oakland? Anaheim=Los Angeles Boston-1st place Oakland-1st place

  9. Good to see Ronnie Chester featured with the RBI program, I know Ronnie, he's a real good kid from a tough upbringing, one of the fastest kids I've seen in years.
  10. TB wins again as Kazmir matches Shields as far as shutting down the Angels. Another 2-0 victory for TB.
  11. Good, usually if he does struggle it's with strikes not hanging sliders. I'll be glad to be wrong on this one.
  12. I predicr Ward will draw a BB and be pinch run for.
  13. Nice start. Hopefully he goes to thru the open gap between 1B and 2B.
