  1. Blame TB for this one, they should've swept. Horrible base-running yesterday and more mental mistakes today combined with walking hitters that should have almost as many DFAs as teams played.
  2. Back to what I'd like to see the subject given the win on Friday. Congrats Sean and Mr. Gallagher, you've obviously worked very hard and deserve to reap the rewards of something most dream about doing and very few get to realize. May there be many wins in the present and future.
  3. Call me out for it, I'll take it. I stand by what I said.
  4. Congrats to Sean!
  5. Congrats to Sean!

  7. This sounds more serious than the Red Sox scout that was knocking one off in plain view at the Fairfield Inn in ST.
  8. Heh, I had another game to go to. No offense to Muldowney that I didn't go seen him, but I had seen him before the injury and I could gauge what he'll likely be.
  9. It definitely ain't the same as seeing Sisco, Ryu, and Jones in a 3 game series. :)
  10. Bleh, I'll wait till tomorrow.
  11. Depending on who's throwing for Peoria, I might it make it out there, or catch a game around here, or watch the Rays play STL.
  12. http://www.baseballamerica.com/blog/college/?p=407 Scheppers out with an stress fracture in his right (throwing) shoulder which will likely cause him to drop.
  13. The Cubs have been decent over the last few years: http://retrosheet.org/boxesetc/1997/B09280SLN1997.htm Doug Jennings leading off, Brant Brown hitting cleanup, Cairo coming in for Ryno, Dave Hansen hitting 5th, then a soon to be converted P, Manny Alexander, and Tyler Houston. Grace did stick the whole game through.
  14. He might have me on ignore. That's for me to know: Davis_RH starter McGee_LH starter Houser_LH starter Jaso, Townsend, and Morlan have been struggling, Rhyne Hughes is a bit of a sleeper at 1B. Thanks, if in fact you are reading this. The ballpark is really nice and they support the Biscuits well. Too bad I'm going to miss the Shark pitch though. I have an automated response system.

  16. Being that they are a Senior and therefore more signable helps more than hurts. McAnaney can be drafted this year and will likely be drafted.
  17. That's the kicker. While in STL, they did well and he did well & you're able to put up with his me 1st attitude if he's producing. Zambrano appears to be stepping up as a leader, finally maturing and taking that next step. Lee is considered a leader in that clubhouse. If Edmonds thinks they're going to put up w/that and assumes based on what he did several years ago, like SD, his time in the clubhouse won't be enjoyable. I hope Lou doesn't give him extra slack based on the fact he has had a very good career compared to the fact he's a recently released player that many think is way past getting anything out of him. I hope they are right and he came back too early from injury as started to swing better towards the end in SD, if he doesn't, I hope they don't drag it on by trying to squeeze orange juice out of the peel.
  18. Edmonds' personality is one thing that seems to be overlooked. The Cubs appear to have good clubhouse chemistry right now, bringing in Edmonds might upset given if his reputation becomes truth.

  20. http://rotoworld.com/content/playerpages/player_main.aspx?sport=MLB&hl=237639&id=3831 Besides having the best record in the AL, they have locked most of their young players. Next up should be Crawford. =D>
  21. Bourn isn't as fast as Taveras.
  22. Hopefully it is a mechanical flaw that is slowing his bat rather than age.
  23. Not to be negative, but 20yos throwing above 89 obviously isn't anything special in baseball terms. I agree with cricket being a tough bridge to cross. China is next on the baseball map.
