    Sandberg should have had to switch numbers once Jordan picked 23. No one should ever be able to wear that number ever again, in any sport. You should have to kneel down and ask permission to even utter the number which is one more than 22. I'm sure some dudes wore 10 before it was retired. It'd be a different story if the Chubbs got Jorge Sosa, and he decided to wear 21. That'd be a real problem.

    Cuban defectors really aren't worth as much nowadays huh? Since Gil Meche is worth 11 mil per, and this dude is worth 500 grand, anybody else wonder their own worth to an MLB franchise? I think I'm worth about 90 thou. Not sure why though, but I dont think Gil Meche is that much better than anyone here.

    That's all the Red Sox want? We could do better than that. Jacque, Eyre and Player That's not a better offer. Teams are as equally concerned about number of years controlled as they are production and salary. The Mariners control Jones for many years to come, which is key. Whatever it takes. Throw any of our Entree or Dessert prospects in there. Manny would give us one of the best offenses in baseball.
