    5m is way too much for a guy coming off an injury riddled season in which he only played in 50 games. Makes me think Byrd won't have any trouble getting 8-9 from someone.

    Capps wants a multi year deal and he wants to close. Danny Baez,Chad Bradford, Kiko Calero, Dotel, Escobar,Herges, are cheaper, one year options i would rather gamble on then overpay again for multiple years.

    I don't understand this signing for the A's at all . I would not be surprised to see Davis being shipped to be the northside before the weekend is over. Getting a cheap Cf'er gives me hope Hendry will upgrade the middle infield with the free agent market flooded with upgrades.

    Morgans success rate at stealing bases raises a flag. Can he catch and throw it , or is this just a 29 year old Pierre?

    I'd Prefer to go a cheap one year deal with Crisp or go the Reed Johnson/Ryan Church route . Spend the rest of the dollars on trying to improve are poor fielding light hitting middle infield. Uggla, Lopez,Ocab, Tejeda, Derosa,Hudson are still on the market.

    What is it 9 teams in ten years? Milton is sooooooo talented and his behavior isn't a problem but teams just keep giving him away. This wasn't a Cubs problem it's a Milton Bradley problem and sadly because Milton lacked a home life growing up no can tell Milton that because if you do your racist or out to get Milton. I love how message board posters , who never played in the bigs can pretend to know what goes on in these clubhouses with such certainty .Again not defending Jim Hendry or Carlos Silva, but if all of major league baseball wouldn't gamble on the great Milton Bradley unless it was the Cubs paying the entire bill it goes to show that Major League teams might just get Milton just a little bit better than us.

    oh god just shut up. did bradley ruin chemistry in texas when all his teammates loved him? acting as though seattle got anything but a great deal today just makes you sound like a [expletive] Texas wouldn't take Milton back due to his issues and thats one place where he didn't actually run himself out of town. I not defending this deal at all. It's terrible. To think at this point that MILTON isn't Insane makes you a . The man is a nut case, he thinks everyone is out to get him, everyone is hates him , everyone hates black people, blah blah Milton is a really really sad person.

    I know the Twins are looking for middle infield help , I wonder if we could package Theriot/Silva/ to try and get some salary relief from the Twins.

    everyday I check the board to see if we have yet to rid ourselves of Milton. The next thing I always hope to see is that Byrd, Ankiel,Posednik, have signed elsewhere. It's looking bleak with Granderson and Cameron looking to be gone.

    If for The Jays changed there mind and were willing to take Bradley , I think Overbay would be headed to the Mets , Castillo to the Cubs.

    I would prefer to bring in a verteran shortstop on the cheap to compete with Blanco for the starting job ,letting Castro learn in Iowa with Jon Joshua, and it starts his arby clock later.

    Phil Rogers is never right, but if the Cubs could get Bell on package built around Theriot , I would be all over it.

    I know the Braves are looking to add a bat and trade either Lowe or Vazquez to get one. Any chance the Braves and Bobby Cox think they can handle Milton? I know it would require the Cubs to throw more than just Bradley Braves way.

    Meche at this point would be a steal for Bradley

    In 2006, 2007 , Bard was hitting at pretty solid clip 285av/364OBP/ 768ops 389ABS 2007 333 av/404OBP/926ops 249ABS 2006 Hill being a nice guy doesn't mean Hendry shouldn't look for a backup catcher that can a hit a little bit in case Soto struggles or misses time again with injury.

    a 237 average with no power,and doesn't get on base? On the XM yesterday they had Josh Bard on who's a switch hitter who's bounced around a little but has hit well in a few seasons. He mentioned that he made might have to take a one year deal in the $1 mi rangel backuping up for a contender to prove he's healthy and can peform.
