  1. I think he may be dead. The Sox would probably have been better off keeping Latos and not making that trade.
  2. James Shields is getting lit up again.
  3. I think Joyce had decided he just wasn't going to swing the bat at all in that AB. And now he makes a nice throw.
  4. Who was it that predicted Almora would walk in this series?
  5. Frankly, I'd rather see the Pirates make the poastseason than the Mets. I mean we own the Bucs. Is there another team that we'd rather see them face in October? That said, the current stretch may put them in a deep, deep hole.
  6. Yeah, I was ready to accept losing two of three, at least until Rondon struck Harper out twice and walked him in the same AB, then I got pretty salty.
  7. Phew, that was not well located. Good thing Zimmerman sucks.
  8. One would think that eventually he'll come through, even via sheer luck.
  9. Yeah, a really weak way to get consecutive blown saves.
  10. I'll be way more annoyed if we lose now than if we had gone down quietly in the ninth.
  11. Lol screw you You can use the free time to search in vain for Obama's Kenyan birth certificate
  12. At least for the rest of this game thread
  13. The Pirates are in a bad way right now, and are in the midst of a long, tough stretch. Their pitching isn't good, Cole (potentially) and Cervelli are hurt, and their best player is having a disappointing year. They could easily be 20 games back in the division and several in the WC by the break unless their fortunes turn.
  14. This is good, but there should be a dong to punctuate. One of the grand variety would be fine.
  15. Moving to the cell is probably not the elixir Shields needed to cure his homer-itis.
  16. Feels like it, but that's probably recency bias.
  17. I submit that the perfect use of Clayton Richard is as filler in the AAA rotation.
  18. Oh good, here comes Clayton Richard to horsefeathers on our RD day.
