  1. It'd be like today when Murton has gotten on base. Instead of Jerome Williams attempting to bunt him over or flail at a bad pitch, you have an actual major league hitter up there who can attempt to drive him in.
  2. Cubs lead by 22 runs this season. They also have a BA that is .018 above the D-backs and a SLG that is .038 above. The D-Backs have a slight (.002) advantage in OBP. I'd say the Cubs offense is better. You know what I don't get? We are ahead of the White Sox in OBP, SLG, and BA, but they have seriously outscored us. What's up with that? Pitching. I dont think their pitching has caused them to outscore us. The DH is also a helpful tool in that regard.
  3. Oh dear Lord, this is unbearable commentating.
  4. I'm having flashbacks to that Jason Jennings game. Yuck.
  5. I say we get some of his old slumpbuster friends together and send them up to the booth to keep him occupied.
  6. Just a reminder, for those of you who are interested in the minors. We're doing a Q&A with Daytona Cubs broadcaster Bo Fulginiti in the minor league forum. Please head over there when you can to ask him questions about the Daytona Cubs! Nice K!
  7. Uh oh. Len & Bob will be joining tHom and Grace in the 6th. This should be fun.
  8. Did the Diamondbacks start Casey Daigle without telling anyone?
  9. But...but...but...he's THE ADMIRAL!!!!!!!!!!
  10. I can see where you're coming from on that, but I'll take a guy who can keep a rally going via a walk or a hit rather than just a hit.
  11. Blues. Halsey's getting lots of broken bats. The Cubs are hitting him and getting runners in scoring position, but he's getting outs when he needs them.
  12. That's Jerome Williams to a tee. He's almost always good for that.
  13. Considering his OBPRISP is well above .400 and the number of strikeouts he gets, he's not the kind of guy to kill a rally with a double play. I'll take him any day of the week, thanks.
  14. Williams is looking like he'll pitch well enough to keep the Cubs in the game, but not well enough to slam the door on the Diamondbacks. So, the usual.
  15. Lol, quick Outshined_One :D I'm claiming an attempt at the reverse jinx there. ;) Yay Bare!
  16. Jerome really doesn't do the best of jobs getting that third strike, does he? Edit: Except there.
  17. Ronnie's batting second? Who hit Dusty over the head with a mallet and made the lineup card for him?
  18. IDK, but I sure would like to get at least ONE decent positional prospect out of this draft, and right now he seems like our best bet. Lewis and Episcopo are both putting up numbers in Mesa that make them seem decent enough. Granted, they might hit a wall somewhere down the line. But for now, they haven't done too bad for themselves down there.
  19. Whenever the heck they post the Mesa boxes, I'll post them.
  20. REMINDER: Go ask your Daytona Cubs questions in the Bo Fulginiti Q&A stickied at the top of this forum! Go, do it now. I'll wait. Box Scores Iowa lost 6-0 Box Score DH M. Fontenot 2/4, K 3B S.
