  1. Nothing happening right now in terms of NL WC contenders, but some games are still going on. Of note is the White Sox/Yankees game, which (if you can tolerate Tim McCarver) might see some fun times going on. Orlando Hernandez threw behind A-Rod's head and has been having some issues with the home plate umpire.
  2. Welcome aboard!
  3. Cook looks like he went and sobbed for a few hours after getting his picture taken. What a baby!
  4. With the 34th pick, Masturbatory Autism takes Anquan Boldin, WR, AZ.
  5. I hear Red Grange is going to make a comeback.
  6. The Brewers' bullpen arms all seem to have a common theme going. Explosive stuff, but plenty of command and control issues.
  7. Jenkins pops out in foul territory with Carlos Lee on. Bottom of the 8th coming up.
  8. Davis is taken out and replaced by Dana Eveland. He gets the flyout to end the 7th. The damage has been done, however.
  9. The Brewers apparently are finding new ways to lose. The Beege hits a nubber down the 1B line, Kane Davis picks it up right next to Biggio and tries throwing it to 1st, but Beege manages to get hit by the throw. 3-1 Astros
  10. Damian Miller with a passed ball. Runner from third scores. 2-1 Astros.
  11. I hate Luis Vizcaino. 1-1, tie game in Houston.
  12. Doug Davis gets into a bit of trouble in the seventh and gets yanked with two outs and men on 1st and 2nd.
  13. The heart of the Astros order just went down 1-2-3 in the 6th.
  14. Is it me or does Berkman wear eye-liner?
  15. If we're talking this year's version of the Cubs, here are some possible additions... 1B: Rafael Palmeiro, Eric Hinske, Hee-Seop Choi 2B: ??? 3B: Kevin Orie (ha ha ha) SS: Ronny Cedeno C: Jose Molina LF: Matt Murton CF: Corey Patterson RF: David Kelton or Jason Dubois SP: Greg Maddux, Mark Prior, Kerry Wood, Dontrelle Willis, Carlos Zambrano, Jamie Moyer, Jon Garland RP: Kyle Farnsworth, Justin Speier, Randy Williams That BP would be loaded considering the number of talented starters they'd convert to relievers. Also, the Nationals have a pretty darn good team: 1B: Matt Stairs 2B: Jose Vidro 3B: Geoff Blum SS: Orlando Cabrera C: Michael Barrett LF: Cliff Floyd, Jason Bay CF: Brad Wilkerson, Grady Sizemore, Milton Bradley RF: Vladimir Guerrrero, Larry Walker SP: Randy Johnson, Javier Vazquez, Cliff Lee, Kirk Rueter RP: Chad Cordero, Ugueth Urbina, Jorge Julio, Miguel Batista, Antonio Alfonseca
  16. Greetings Grant! Thanks a bunch for taking the time to answer our questions here. Did you watch much baseball growing up in Burr Ridge? If so, which team were you a fan of? Also, who were your favorite players growing up? Thanks again!
  17. With the 27th pick, Masturbatory Autism takes Andre Johnson, WR, Houston.
  18. One tiny little "n" seperates him from greatness...is he as hott as her? You decide: Evan http://www.longbeachstate.com/PIX/PIXBBC/MUGS/longoria-bb.gif.gif Eva http://www.dirtyflower.com/wp-content/eva.jpg
  19. Greetings Ryan! Thanks so much for taking our questions. First off, how has the knee been lately? How hard was it to rehab and get back to full strength? Do you still have some adjustments to make, or are you feeling 100%? Secondly, you showcased a promising arm prior to the draft as a pitcher. Do you still tinker around with pitching every now and again, or have you decided to focus solely on hitting? Also, how has pitching helped in regard to your throwing in the OF? Thanks again for your time! We here wish you nothing but the best of luck from here on in your career.
  20. Long Beach State IF Evan Longoria gets my vote for most unfortunate name in next year's draft.
  21. C'mon! Mitre is no better than Hill or Williams. I don't know why everyone thinks he's so "ready" when all he's done is suck every time he gets the chance to start? Yes, as those games against Toronto and Florida proved to us, Mitre is nothing more than a scrub.
  22. That's because, in reality, they don't.
  23. Masturbatory Autism selects Deuce McAllister, RB, NO with the seventh pick in the draft.
