  1. Remind me again why Rusch is in the rotation?
  2. Rusch sucks at holding the runners today.
  3. A-Ram was the one who fielded that ball, to boot.
  4. Apparently he never hit one with the Pirates. *Shrugs*
  5. Good to see Glendon Rusch is in midseason form. Guh. Why do Cubs pitchers suck against the opposing pitcher?
  6. Todd Walker isn't exactly a gold glover, himself...
  7. Wow, I was expecting a complete meltdown out there from Glendon.
  8. His BA and OBP against Rusch is .333...along with a .952 SLG. This should be a fun AB.
  9. What happened? Freel squeaked a ball past Walker and Pierre came in to shallow right/center to pick it up. Freel was going two all the way, Pierre got the ball to second base on about four bounces.
  10. Holy wow Pierre has an atrocious arm.
  11. Based on Rammy losing his balance and how he made contact with that, I thought that going was foul.
  12. Morning Bruce! Thanks for the lineups! Aurilia batting fourth? Hee hee hee.
  13. If that's the case, Noah and Roy, plz. Even though I hate Noah right now. There's almost no way the Bulls have the opportunity to take two guys from that list. It depends on which picks the Bulls end up getting, especially if they somehow make it to the playoffs. If they end up missing out on that 8 seed, they could help their draft standing. I think that if things pan out as expected, they should have the #1 and the #12. I'd say the odds are 50-50 that one of Foye or Roy will be there for the #12. Al Horford and Marcus Williams wouldn't be bad picks at 12, either.
  14. You could probably say the same about Tyrus Thomas.
  15. Heh. Nice to see a fellow fan of truthiness. Fixed. :P
  16. That's right folks! Minor league baseball is back and it's better than ever! Stay tuned throughout the season for such exciting storylines as... -Is Mark Pawelek the real deal? -Will Ron Potesta bring back his Matt Foley impersonation? -Can Brian Dopirak get his mojo back? -Felix Pie: Great CF...or The Greatest CF? -Can Eric Patterson make the Cubs fans remember Corey as, "Eric's older brother"? -Who will win the prestigious Cubs Farm System Player and Pitcher of the year awards? This and so much more await Cubs farm system fans this coming season...and it starts on Thursday, April 6th! Box Scores Iowa lost 8-4 Box Score CF F. Pie 0/4, BB, 2 K 2B R. 17. Florida active pitchers who were Cubs or in the Cubs' system... Joe Borowski Sergio Mitre Ricky Nolasco Todd Wellemeyer Dontrelle Willis Borowski was not traded to Marlins by Cubs. I know, but he was a former Cub and basically rejuvenated his career through the Cubs. Just thought I'd make that point.

  19. If we end up with any two of the following: Tyrus Thomas Joakim Noah Brandon Roy Randy Foye I'll be happy. O'Bryant is an interesting player, but not worth a Top 3 pick. Aldridge is soft, which drives me nuts. Morrison will be productive, but he won't be an impact player. Gay is sooooooooo lazy. Of course, with the Bulls' luck, only Roy and Foye will be in the draft. Guh.
  20. Wait, wait, so were you guys in favor of Favre giving himself up in order to give Strahan the sack record?
  21. Sorry, no such luck. The Astros have one more starter that has shown he is capable of being decent, Backe. If Pettite keeps pitching like this and Oswalt and Backe have to carry the load, and if they continue to average 1/2 a run a game, the Astros are in biiiiiig trouble. :D What's their rotation look like? Oswalt Pettitte Backe Magic Wandy Buchholz? Nieve?
  22. You guys know how much I really like Mitre. I always felt he deserved a shot to be the starter over the course of a season. Hopefully it works out well for him in Florida. :D
