  1. Left-handed protection for A-Ram...duh. ;) Why does Aram's left hand need protection ????? Ohhhhhhhhhhh I can make so many dirty jokes and innuendos out of this statement. But I'll refrain.
  2. Left-handed protection for A-Ram...duh. ;)
  3. The current hope is that he'll manage to hit well enough to be a decent utility OF. Considering what happened to him at SS, that outcome would be most welcome.
  4. anyone know if novoa gained the weight back that he lost during his illness? how was he @ iowa? Pretty much what you'd expect: inconsistent, but overall decent.
  5. Sean Casey is going to be out for 6-8 weeks with two fractures in his back. OW!!!
  6. When did Marge have a sex change operation? :D A sex change operation for Marge Schott would have resulted in "she". :P That's the joke, mon ami. ;)
  7. Insert standard Astacio is ugly and Magic Wandy jokes. Fixed.
  8. IF Marge Schott were still alive, he would never stand for this!

  10. Ah, nuts. At least he's in line for the W. Let's hope Baker plays this smart.
  11. MLB Gamecast needs to get in gear; it just started the McLouth AB.
  12. I wonder what Marshall's PC looks like, considering they didn't start stretching him out until late in Spring Training. I'm guessing ~90 pitches?
  13. he doesnt get an rbi i don't think Mea culpa, imo.
  14. It'd be a nice night to give the key parts of the bullpen a rest, especially after the debacles we've had against the Reds over the past few days.
  15. Shhhhhhhh...let me believe it to be real!
  16. I would like to say that the crooked hat thing reminds me of Mitch Hedberg's act when he was talking about his sister's family's picture...and how everyone is looking a little bit to the left, like something was happening there. And it made everybody happy. Except his sister's cross-eyed, so she couldn't quite pull it off. One eye was right on in looking at the camera. I'd like to nominate myself for most awesome random gameday tangent ever.
  17. Tough inning, but he battled and made it through. Get those runs back Cubbies!
  18. The Red Sox released him. Can't remember if anyone picked him up or not...
  19. Care to elaborate? Are you referring to his tendency to want to "get his starters wins"? I nominate Narron, because it's always too soon to pull your starters when you have the Cincy bullpen. That and his tendency to bring in the bullpen during questionable situations where leaving the starter in is typically the best idea. He's not nearly as bad as some of the others listed, but a guy who uses four pitchers to get three outs in an inning deserves mention. I'll also throw Phil Garner's name in the mix, especially given what just happened to Backe.
  20. Tony LaRussa definitely has his moments.
  21. so, you'd like the cubs to not win as much as possible early on? Maybe it'll get Dusty fired and the Cubs can make a Jack McKeon or even a Phil Garner-like run at the end of the season. ;)
