  1. Got the strikeout numbers for each? Look harder. I'm sorry, I have blinders on and can't think objectively. My mistake. ;)
  2. Because you're being antagonistic and rubbing your opinions in everyone's faces. Disagreement is fine. Constantly harping on it and attacking other posters for believing otherwise isn't.
  3. Got the strikeout numbers for each?
  4. Well deserved. He might be worse than Corey, seriously. Like I said, I failed to see the point in signing Jacque Jones when we could have just moved Corey to RF. It would have been cheaper and he wouldn't be under contract for three years.
  5. In other news, Lee has 2 errors on the season. That's not the best of ways to start things out.
  6. Took Z long enough to get Carpenter... Lee-Rammy-Jones are due up. Time to get those runs back.
  7. Do you drive a hybrid, out of curiosity? no Hm. It seemed to fit your personality, so I thought I'd ask.
  8. Do you drive a hybrid, out of curiosity?
  9. Just like Lee was awesome for dropping that ball and letting Edmonds take third, right?
  10. This team preached defense and speed in the offseason and spring training. 1 out of 2 isn't so bad, right?
  11. Is that you Mr. Gallagher? ;)
  12. I would also like to point out that those two double clutches occurred when he had plenty of time to make a play and was getting a better grip on the ball so as to not screw it up. Double clutching is fine in that situation. When it comes to faster guys on the basepaths, though, I'd hope he avoids taking that approach.
  13. In other news, Carp and Z are both dealing now. Yikes!
  14. I think it's fine to expect that with time. SS is an error-prone position and Cedeno seems to have the ability to make hard plays. He just needs to settle down when it comes to the routine ones, which I think will happen, given time.
  15. Nice way to atone for his mistake. :D
  16. In other news, the sun rose in the east this morning.
  17. Football weather is single digits and snowing in Wisconsin. This is t-shirt weather. :P
  18. They let Sean bring back his slider? Yeowza. Also, if he is throwing in the mid-90s, some scouts have some 'splainin to do since they said he wouldn't be adding velocity due to his frame already being filled out.
  19. If this is true...nuts. :( Smart decision for Horford if he stays. Another season of coaching will really help elevate his stock.
  20. Boo CSN. Boooooooooooooooooooooo! Come on Z, kill the Cardinals!

  22. Despite his absolute hatred of the sabre crowd, Joe Morgan is one of the players who comes off the best by their measurements and stats. Remember that he was a baseball player who was on the shorter side and was not perceived as a five tool threat. Yet, he put up some great numbers for his era with regards to OBP, OPS, and so on.
  23. John Paxson has shown a history of drafting guys who perform well in the tournament and who played for the best teams in the tournament (Hinrich, Deng, Gordon). UCLA doesn't have anyone of note in this year's draft, but Florida and LSU have a few guys who looked very good and looked like they could very well play in the NBA now and be effective. Aldridge might end up becoming a decent player, but he just doesn't have that fire underneath. As for Roy, he really reminds me of Deron Williams. Considering I really liked Williams last season, that's a good thing, imo.
  24. My point was that even Neifi can have a good day. Jose Macias could be halfway decent on some days, too. So can Lenny Harris, Delino Deshields, Corey Patterson, etc. Using him as a bench player, especially when it comes to defensive replacements, is perfectly fine in my mind. But, we all know Dusty's manlove for the guy. The possibility that Cedeno or Walker is almost always 0-11 away from getting replaced by Neifi indefinitely is one that makes me feel ill. Yes, he could kill the team and he did so on a number of occasions last year with bad plate appearances, double plays, and so on. More often than not, that's what you'll get with him.
