  1. BOYCOTT WRIGLEY FIELD!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Way ahead of you kid-o. I haven't gone to a single game all year, much less bought any Cubs merchandise.
  2. If Dusty's back in 2007, I will give thought to giving up on this team altogether. It will show that this organization has no commitment to winning a World Series, no commitment to improving the organizational philosophy, and a complete blindness when it comes to the competency and accountability. As long as the monkeys sell out Wrigley every year, they could care less. I'm tired of empty excuses. I'm tired of random double switches that make no sense. I'm tired of this organization claiming every castoff and piece of absolute trash they pick up is gold. I'm tired of missing out on big name free agents like Miguel Tejada, Vlad Guerrero, Carlos Beltran, and just about everyone else. I can't take much more of this, needless to say.
  3. 96 mph fastball on the noggin-knocker, from what I heard.
  4. The season is lost. Frankly, we should continue trotting this guy out every fifth day for the rest of the season no matter how bad he is. I don't care about his current effectiveness or whatever, but if he can't turn in a good start or two by the end of the season, then he can be shipped out. This team gains NOTHING by starting Rusch or Phil Norton or any other overrated schmuck in his place.
  5. I love how the camera immediately went to Larry when Brenly was talking about Hill's struggles after the first.
  6. While his numbers have declined at AAA, I really like Brad Snyder. If the Cubs were to deal with the Indians, I'd really like to see him included in a package.
  7. Seconded. The faster we get this thing over with, the sooner we can get to trading and whatnot!

  13. Bit of a head-scratcher, but whatever. Maybe we can con some one into taking Neifi.

  16. Into a strange new world, into the after All your tears might find you've fallen too far Take another look, take another ride Can't we make them leave the hate behind And I still believe in nothing Will we ever see the shape of tomorrow? Into the empty storm, into the formless loss of hope, Where we can forget the game And I still believe in nothing Will we ever see the cure for our sorrow Nothing is sacred when no one is saved Nothing's forever so count your days Nothing is final and no one is real Pray for tomorrow and find you're empty still Nothing Bonus points to all of you who recognize this song without having to look it up. 8) \m/
  17. He last pitched on July 21st and had his best outing of the season. As of right now, he should be scheduled to pitch tomorrow's game at Spokane.
  18. I'd imagine he will if he keeps this up. He'll definitely be there by September, imo.

  20. I'll take TE Jason Witten, Dallas Cowboys.
  21. If this is the argument I'm remembering, it wasn't quite like that. Harold and Steve were arguing that A-Rod should be traded because he couldn't handle the pressure of NYC. Kruk got really angry at that and called them both out for it, because he thought they were implying A-Rod was a spineless wimp. Naturally, Philips and Reynolds tiptoed around the matter. Kruk actually defended A-Rod pretty well, much to my surprise.
